I lived in Las Animas for three years and had never gone to the LA Cafe. I heard it was good. The first time I went I got the chicken fried steak sandwich and thought it was huge. It was even bigger the second time. Service is friendly and the wait is short, but the food is excellent. Go there.

Nice stop for a takeout breakfast burrito. Passed through town and was recommended to grab a burrito here. It was a good sized burrito. Menu item is a select 4 ingredients option. The location is non-descript and clearly caters to locals and provides a place to gather.

Great place to grab something to eat, I personally love their Monte Cristos, not so restaurants carry this, but I have no complains about the quality. Some of the good items have been taken off the menu like the cheese sticks, but with inflation I can understand why.

Nondescript from the outside, LA cafe features wonderful food and outstanding service. The parking lot was big enough for me to park my truck with a trailer behind it. There’s a pool and a park nearby and both look very well-maintained. My meal was outstanding and the cost was low.

Seemed friendly but upon entering i felt a little like an outcast so it didn’t exactly have a welcoming feeling. My server was very polite & nice but she seemed stretched all over the diner.
