My recent visit to Cracker Barrel in Gulfport, MS, was a pleasant experience from start to finish. Our server, Nancy, greeted us with a warm smile and provided excellent service throughout our meal. Despite managing several tables, she never seemed overwhelmed and remained attentive, ensuring we never felt neglected.
For our meal, we ordered the Maple Bacon Grilled Chicken, the Shrimp n’ Grits Skillet, and the Pot Roast. Everything was well-prepared and enjoyable, and the wait time for our food was reasonable. I also tried the new limited-time Strawberry Peach Lemonade, which was both refreshing and delicious.
The checkout line was quite long, but since I wasn’t in a rush, I didn’t mind the wait. I did notice they offer the option to scan a QR code on the receipt for a quicker payment process, which is a convenient alternative for those in a hurry.
Nancy’s service truly stood out, and I want to commend her for providing 5 out of 5 service. Her attentiveness and professionalism made our visit even more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this Cracker Barrel location for great food and excellent service.

The food was delicious and I can’t brag enough on the cola cake. Meatloaf was cooked just right. Great portion sizes. The muffin tops were a bit hard, but outside of that they was great. The waitress was awesome and attentive. Will definitely go back. All of the staff was welcoming. Score A.

Unfortunately this is the worst Cracker Barrel we’ve ever been too, and we’ve been to a lot. Although the restaurant was 10-15% full, the two hostesses seemed to have quite a bit of difficulty deciding where we were going to sit. Although tons of 4 chair tables were available and numerous parties of 2 were in them, we got put off to the side and our 2 person table was small. We picked up the menus we were handed and they had syrup on them. The table also had syrup all over it and we had to go wash our hands and get them to clean the table. The waitress was slow and never offered to refill our drinks although they sat empty. The food was the worst we had ever had, the country fried steak was hot and good but the potatoes were lukewarm as was the very small serving of macaroni and cheese. The hash brown casserole was also not hot and the dumplings barely had chicken in them. Very disappointed and will never stop here again and we travel I-10 often too.

Always luv going to Cracker Barrel! The blueberry pancakes are my favorite! Also Bacon or smoked sausage pairs well! They even brought some biscuits and gravy to keep us busy while waiting on it meal.

I ordered the Maple Bacon Grilled chicken which comes with 2 grilled chicken breasts topped with Maple Chipotle glaze, bacon, cheese, and green onions. It also has a drizzle of ranch. Yum! It comes with 2 sides and biscuits or cornbread. I chose biscuits because they are so hot and fresh with butter. I ordered 2 mashed potatoes and brown gravy because I knew I was going to make 2 meals out of this one and I love their mashed potatoes and gravy. The manager, Brad, went above and beyond to make sure my order was fresh and hot and correct. I also ordered the 5 dollars take home meal, which I usually gift to someone, and he was so generous he donated 4 of the take home meals paying for it himself so I can give the meals to some of my students. What an amazing manager the Cracker Barrel Gulfport has! Service is second to none. My grilled chicken was devine and I look forward to eating my leftovers tomorrow after work. 5/ 5 stars and a 10/5 for customer service which was excellent thanks to Brad.

The wait was not ridiculous on a Sunday like we were afraid of. The staff was very Friendly, attentive and efficient. Our Server greeted us with a big genuine smile and angelic personality. I so wish I could remember her name. She complimented me at a time when it was greatly needed. Words can’t express how I appreciated her genuineness. Now to the food! It was great. I love all of the new things on the menu since I’d been there. This Cracker Barrel lived up to their reputation for great home cooked food.

Honestly, this was the best service I’ve ever received at a restaurant. Our server, Ashley T., was absolutely amazing, quick, attentive, and so friendly. The managers and other staff were equally great, creating such a welcoming atmosphere. We had a small issue, but it was resolved instantly, which showed their dedication to great customer service. As for the food, it was incredible as always! I 100% recommend trying the Cinnamon Swirl French Toast Breakfast with a side of fried apples. It’s the perfect combination of flavors!

My first experience at Cracker Barrel!Food was good service was like a countdown to a meteor impact. I’ll tell the whole story as it happens.
So we walked in, my girlfriend and I, was greeted right away and seated in the corner pretty secluded. I enjoy the distance and privacy so it was nice. Turns out we were so secluded, we waited atleast 15 minutes before anyone came to asked if we were helped.
Order:
-chicken fried steak (4.8/10 exist)
‘turnip greens (6.6/10 good but for my girlfriend)
-hash casserole (8.8/10 Best thing there).
Girlfriend ordered from the “breakfast all day” menu which consisted of:
-3xEggs “over medium” (2.7/10 overcooked)
-Steak tips (7.3/10 Great, well seasoned)
-Cinnamon apples (6/10 good if you like apple pie filling and also decent if you’re forced to pick something different)
So she tried to order the hash casserole with turnip greens but she was denied the turnips. “Why?” you may ask, well due to ordering a breakfast entree you MUST order sides from their breakfast menu so she ordered cinnamon apples. I noticed she didn’t want to, so I ordered the turnip greens and swapped with her.
I don’t get why she was limited to a breakfast only side when everything was available. The place wasn’t busy whatsoever, it’s dinner time so all sides were available, was not even offered an uncharge to make it happen. Whatever, we got our drinks and order in.
We see a couple more tables get filled, we got out drinks and then my girlfriend (chef) whispered to me, “they got their food already, and they just got here. Normally you cook food as the orders come in.” I thought nothing of it, then another group comes in and they get greeted seated and served. We ended up passing the time playing peg solitaire and sipping on the ice as it melts because I’m a thirsty boy and the refill didn’t happen until the food came out 20 minutes later.
We ate, the bill came out and server disappeared so we ended up just using the “scan to pay” QR code. I just ate our leftovers because the girlfriend did not want to wait another 15 minutes for a box.
Girlfriend smiled and joked, “I’m not leaving a tip.” She ALWAYS leaves atleast a 25% tip. She works in the industry and she left a 20% cash tip, she understands that tipping can be people’s livelihood even if the service sucked.
Now let’s talk about their gift store. This is my first time ever going to Cracker Barrel. I felt like a kid again, good and bad. You know the feeling when you’re a kid and you go on a field trip to a place and there’s a gift shops with random little toys. It was just like that but in this case the field trip chaperone is obviously stalking you, making sure you’re not stealing or breaking anything. I noticed the older lady working there would not break a clear line of sight with me. If I walked somewhere she would shift around to where she can see my whole body and I made a game out of it to myself. I purposely kept walking behind places and watch her quickly pace around with her work tablet and everytime we made eye contact I would converse with her. I didn’t take any offense because she did this to the next couple as we slowly made our way out. She is probably just taking her job too seriously.
Overall experience: 3.7/10
I will not be returning to this location again

Was there for three hours total…mostly spent waiting for table, service, and food. The order brought out was partially wrong, and we were charged for all of wrong items. The waitress was friendly and calm, despite the chaos and dirty, uncleared tables all around us. The major problem was the bill. We ordered off the lunch menu, but were charged dinner prices. Also, due to confusing layout of the menu, we were charged extra for every single side. They were not listed on same page as lunch items, so we thought sides on lunch page were the ones to pick from. Turns out not, but instead of just refunding us $3.19 for confusion, they turned it into a big ordeal… calling over managers and creating massive line at store register. Ultimately, Manager refunded us $5. Should have done that from the start to avoid all of the drama in crowded store..AND.. don’t ever believe their “25 minute” wait time. More like 45 minutes…and tack on another 30 for a server to even come to your table.
Chicken was rubbery, like eating a Magic Rub eraser. Loaded Sweet Potato was good though.
