I tried the sesame chicken (w/white meat) lunch special and everything was good!
From the crab rangoons (which might I state are big) to the hot n sour soup and the fried rice.

I really wanted to like this place because it is so close to my house, but the beef was hard to chew and service was non existence. I asked the staff if Szechuan beef is super spicy and he said “I don’t know”. I asked him what vegetables come on it and he said “I don’t know”. I asked him to find out and he pointed at a piece paper on the wall next to him that I could not even read (attached). Then I ordered that plus fried rice and sweet and sour chicken. The person taking the order who didn’t know anything went back to cook it! The beef and sauce were awful. The fried rice was just ok. The sweet and sour chicken had too much breading. I hate to say it that the fast food Panda Express across the street is much better than the so called authentic Chinese restaurant!

I have expectations when it comes to Chinese take-out, and sometimes those expectations aren’t met here in Texas.
China One DID meet those expectations. Good food, portion size good, flavor good (even if the “spicy” food was mostly sweet, a common issue). Friendly service.

I just recently moved to Texas and was craving some Chinese food. In New Jersey it’s more common to find Chinese food restaurants but I soon realized it’s not the same here.
I happen to be in the area and decided to try China One. I was pleasantly surprised and loved the food. I ordered the house fried rice and a combo of pork fried rice with chicken wings with some extra egg rolls.
It was bombbb! Chicken was crunchy, rice was tasty.
Tip: sauces are on the side inside some little drawers. Don’t forget your duck sauce!

Ordered fried rice. Was like eating grass. Literally zero taste. Even when I was starving. Drenching it in soy sauce couldn’t even save it.
Good portion if you are just trying to fill up, regardless of taste.
Only paid $5- wasn’t worth it.

I went in for shrimp egg foo young. The flavor was nice, but the patties were undercooked, and barely had any shrimp. The rice was nice and fresh, and the gravy is good. As far as service, the older man at the table spoke to me, but the younger guy acted as if I were disturbing him. I may go back and give it another shot.
