After waiting 20 minutes to be seated it took another 22 minutes to get a server put in our drink and food order together then watched as everyone else ate then our food arrived, after another 20 minutes you can’t tell me this hasn’t been sitting for. Mmmmm coagulated The whole time! I’m so disappointed I just wanted a good breakfast before heading back to Seattle.

I just want to preface that this is a Denny’s, it’s relatively cheap and open late. And it’s nothing special or crazy about them, however, please consider going to a different location after reading my review. The one on Stark is much better.

I ordered delivery, they gave me the wrong item. For my chicken fried chicken, they gave me beef instead of chicken. My seasoned fries were also lacking in flavor for fries that are supposed to be seasoned. However, I could’ve gotten past all that, had it been my only problem. But I later found a hairball that resembles the hairballs that collects on the floor when you don’t clean. That was the last straw for me, I always thought if there was one hair on my food, that I wouldn’t be affected too much cause it happens. This was way too many hairs for me and too much to forget…

Went there this morning for breakfast. Had to remove broken glass from my mouth after drinking. No apology from the staff, just arrogant defensiveness after I asked her to throw away the chipped cup. Even before serving me broken glass in my OJ, the waitress was already very rude and condescending. She just doesn’t care about customers, and has no idea how to interact with people in a professional manner.

Still even now, I am dreading that I might have swallowed bits of glass, and I really hope I don’t have an ER visit in my near future because of this restaurant.

OMG , horrible! Only one server was working, but the restaurant was packed. Waited at least 30 minutes before our meal came. However, the food was delicious and got 5 stars for the food. We loved it.

​I recently visited the Denny’s located on Hassalo and Grand ave. On early Sunday I had one of the best experiences I’ve ever had at a national chain restaurant. The entire visit, from seating to checkout, was seamless and enjoyable.
​The food was exactly what we were craving—hot, fresh, and delivered quickly. My Super Bird sandwich was perfectly toasted, and the coffee refills were prompt and continuous, thanks to our server, Deanna she was incredibly attentive, friendly, and managed a busy section with grace and efficiency.
​What truly set this location apart was the visible leadership of the manager. While we were there, a minor mix-up happened with another table’s order (which was completely understandable given the rush). I watched as the manager Shane, stepped in immediately. He addressed the issue calmly, ensured the table felt heard, and personally delivered the corrected food with a sincere apology. And a free coffee It was a masterclass in professional customer service and conflict resolution.
​It’s clear that the management runs a tight ship, prioritizing both high standards for food quality and a positive, supportive environment for their staff. This level of leadership translates directly into a fantastic dining experience.
​Highly recommend this Denny’s location! We will definitely be back soon.

Went there fairly late for food and service was very nice and food was great! I think service staff have to deal with quite a lot of different people, and some who come in and trying to solicit for food, so I think it can be a bit stressful. But they were very professional and kind.

My company booked me to stay at the very shitty Hotel Eastlund across the street. Despite having confirmation of payment, they refused to provide my room on the grounds of “non-payment”.
The wonderful server, Lala, graciously allowed me to stay in the restaurant, as I had nowhere else to go, until it was time to go to my office. Of course, I ordered food in the meantime.
She, Marco, and Mr Willie treated me so very kindly and hospitably, and I am truly, indescribably grateful to them.

I wasn’t expecting gourmet, but this Dennys was out of some main staples. No hot cocoa, no apples for their special pancakes…the server was great through it all however. Its a tough location and a tough time for restaurants, so I’d go back. The slot machines in the back of the place however, could be the reason for the draw for certain people who were hanging out there?

I came yesterday morning, Friday morning around 7:30 am, there was a line out the door and one waitress. Her name was Deanna, she was efficient and so sweet and added a lot of life to that place. Will definitely be coming back and will be requesting her. Thank you again Deanna for turning our day into a much better one. I’ve been to the hassalo location a few times and most of the servers are low energy and very rushy and rude. Deanna was the complete opposite, she made the whole experience, even got a few laughs out of my dad. She also suggested that we have the banana salted caramel French toast and it was delicious!
