It’s always appreciated to find a place that’s open 24 hours. I was looking for a vegan-friendly option late at night and luckily came across this restaurant. I didn’t have high expectations (IMO places that stay open that late are usually just average) but this was a very pleasant surprise. The House of Dosas actually delivers great quality. I ordered the Chennai Style Lamb and it didn’t disappoint rich, bold, and full of flavor. To complement it, I also tried the Mixed Vegetables Uthappam, which was excellent in both quality and taste. Service is attentive and efficient. Definitely a great option for night owls.

House of Dosa truly impressed us with both the quality of food and overall experience. The food was absolutely excellent—fresh, flavorful, and authentically South Indian. The dosas were perfectly crisp on the outside and soft inside, served hot and fresh. The chutneys and sambar were well-balanced and complemented the dosas beautifully. Everything tasted homemade and thoughtfully prepared.

The service deserves special mention as well. The staff were polite, welcoming, and very attentive. Our orders were taken promptly, and the food arrived without much wait even though the restaurant was busy. They were also happy to explain menu items and customize spice levels based on our preference.

The seating space is medium in size, so it can feel a little compact during peak hours, but it is still clean, organized, and comfortable enough for a relaxed meal.

One important tip for spice lovers: the default spice level is on the milder side. If you enjoy proper heat and bold flavors, make sure to ask for your food “extra hot” — they are very accommodating and will gladly adjust it for you.

Overall, this is a fantastic place for anyone who loves South Indian food, especially dosas. Great food, good service, and a warm atmosphere

We were on a short 2 days trip to Vancouver and stumbled upon this restaurant while wandering around.

The MeduVada, Podi Idli, filter coffee, and veggie utthapam was delicious!! The veg fried rice was also great but a bit oily, although, because of its authentic taste you tend to ignore the oily part.

The chef also came out to have a chat and gave us complimentary pineapple kesari which was AMAZING and its taste is still lingering on my tongue, haha.

The service was also excellent, especially the one who seated us! She is very attentive and hospitable!

The only reason I gave a 4 star to atmosphere was because of the very loud music. I did not expect/wish to listen to a full blown Drake/Kenrick Lamar while having authentic south-indian food. But rest ambiance was really great!

I definitely recommend visiting here if you are in Vancouver!

it was such a great experience. The place is honestly beautiful inside, cozy curved booths, warm golden lights, and lots of greenery, it feels more like a classy lounge than a regular restaurant. We ordered the chilly idli and dosa, and both were amazing. The chilly idli was perfectly crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and full of flavour, and the dosa was golden, fresh, and super satisfying. Everything came out hot and nicely presented. Plus, they’re open 24 hours which makes it such a perfect spot for late-night cravings, chill hangouts, or even a casual date. The vibe, the food, and the overall feel of the place were all on point. Definitely a new favourite on Davie Street and a place I’ll be coming back to again.

We went there for Dine Out menu.$25 per person all you can eat. Very good price and food! Generous portions. Mango lassi is also delicious. I’d recommend this to anyone to try it!

This is our second time visiting here, first we randomly came and had food over here which we wanted to give a try of southern Indian foods.

We met Mr. GANESH (the owner) who is very nice and friendly, introduce all the restaurant foods. Thank you so much for your hospitality and kindness we really appreciate it a lot.

Also we met miss LAKSHI (supervisor) she’s so kind and friendly as well, she also good at bartender bc she made the best cocktails for us. Thank you so much to your services we really appreciate it.

If we talk about foods they are in Top level, highly recommended this place if anyone who interested in southern Indian food or Sri Lankan food.

Come and enjoy every single second and try these amazing food.

And again thank you so much will be back soon…..

My friend and I came here for dinner last night and we were disappointed. The server seated us but then forgot about us. It took us nearly thirty minutes to order and the restaurant wasn’t busy. I ordered the masala dosa which I’ve ordered before at their Kingsway branch. I was disappointed on this occasion because I ordered one with onions so I essentially had a dosa with lots of raw onions. I asked for it medium spicy but it was mild. I also ordered a mixed veggie uttapam and same thing, it was mild even though I asked for it spicy. My friend ordered a chicken curry with two sides. We then had to wait for a server to come so we could pay. I love House of Dosas on Kingsway so I will continue going there and avoid this branch.

Came here to have lunch on a quick overnight in the city. The atmosphere was super chill and casual. Server was very friendly and made suggestions based on the meals we ordered. Food was hot, delicious and portions were generous. We will be coming back for Indian cuisine when we are in town. Highly recommend the lamb curry!

If you’re looking for authentic South Indian food, this is the place to go. We tried the Mysore Masala Dosa, Sambar Vada, and Filter Coffee. Everything was perfectly spiced and I’d definitely recommend their filter coffee!
