Today was my first time visiting Magnolia Skillet. I was greeted with a warm welcome . The staff members were friendly and it was very clean inside. The food was exceptional. The food had that southern taste and seasoned just right. I had the fried chicken with rice, black eyed peas, candy yams and cornbread. I’m looking forward to trying other menu items very some.

Our first visit was today, but it won’t be the last. The folks running this amazing place are friendly, and the food is beyond compare. We may have gone overboard ordering, but I’m gonna be so happy with my leftovers!
Meatloaf, chicken and dressing, ox tails, candied yams, black eyed peas, cornbread, and dessert. We ordered what we thought was a bit much for 2 people and got enough for 4.
Portions are wonderful, and the flavors are out of this world. If you are in the area and don’t stop by, you are shorting yourself an outstanding dining experience. If you aren’t in the area, make the trip.

My friend and I visited this place for the first time yesterday. We were a little late in meeting up so we didn’t have much time to eat until they closed. We were served ample amount of food as the other reviews stated. Because we arrived late, some of the options were not available. I asked if I could have the rice with the oxtail sauce on it (the oxtails were sold out). Mannn!!! The best decision I could have made! It was so delicious! I shared some with my friend. She loved it as well. I wish I could have tried the oxtails bc that sauce was everything! I was also a huge fan of the meatloaf…just the way I like meatloaf cooked!
They never rushed us to leave although it was nearing their closing time. At that time was when it was further confirmed that we had selected the best restaurant to eat…the manager approached our table to tell us that we don’t have to leave; however, they begin serving the homeless after the business closes. That touched my heart so much! Like clockwork, several homeless citizens began coming in, ordering their food, and sitting down to have a wholesome meal out of the heat. Many blessings to this business! I look forward to supporting this business again.

If I could give this place 20 Stars I would they have got the most hospitality I’ve ever seen in a restaurant. And baby when I tell you they got some slip your mama wings that’s what I mean. Their food is excellent the waiters are great and it’s a Mom and pop’s business and they also have a daycare so what better way to take care of your kids they get to eat and have fun at the same time I wish this place had been around when I was a kid I would have been moving in with these people you know the cool part there from Mississippi. Thank you guys for all the years that you’ve given us and the wonderful food that you served throughout the North Little Rock community.

I ordered side dressing only…and a banana pudding….servings are enough for 2 people…The lines move really slow but worth the wait…Need 2 servers for the crowds…Food OMG….no disappointment here
