Amazing spot! The sushi was super fresh and delicious. The staff were really friendly and so incredibly nice to our toddler. They immediately brought out a plastic plate and utensils, a high chair, and they even asked if it was okay to give her a piece of cake from their own birthday cake after our meal.
Everything we ate was super fresh and beautifully presented. Cozy vibe, great food, and overall an awesome experience – I’ll definitely be coming back!

A great restaurant. Service is very friendly and attentive. Food is delicious. Some Japanese restaurants I go to the food is over seasoned or there’s too much rice on the rolls (for my preference). Not this restaurant, everything was seasoned perfectly and the rolls had just the right amount of rice.

I’m so excited to have KatsuMe in Pleasanton! All of the fish and dishes we got were so fresh and full of flavor. The hamachi carpaccio melted in your mouth and the garlic edamame was the perfect balance of spice and garlic. The service was also very attentive and kind. Will definitely be back soon!

I called in an order today (hamachi carpaccio, hamachi nigiri, edamame, lunch bento box with teriyaki chicken & salmon sashimi). They gave me an estimated time of 15min. I arrived 7 min after I called and the order was already there waiting for me. I was greeted and thanked by all the staff- great customer service! The inside was really clean, sleek, upscale, and modern.
The food: as several people have mentioned the freshness and quality of the fish is off the charts!
The hamachi carpaccio was DELICIOUS – im already craving it again lol. My coworker said the hamachi nigiri was buttery and super fresh. The bento box was beautifully presented and scrumptious.
I’m so glad help suggested this place because it just quickly became my new fav spot! Will absolutely be a frequent customer

It wasn’t just attentive—it was genuinely warm and helpful.
A highlight of the night? My daughter’s order of tempura udon—the broth was comforting and rich, with perfectly crisp shrimp tempura providing lovely contrast. Watching her enjoy each mouthful was a joy in itself.

The lunch bento here is incredible – I don’t know how more people are not trying this place out. For $14-$16, you get a whole full meal, with soup and salad – on top of that, it tastes so good! I got the chicken teriyaki with california roll, and it was so so delicious.
The servers were so nice and attentive and made sure to check on me and stay attentive. Everyone is very friendly inside and it seems to be a family-run restaurant. I will be coming again!
