Popped in for an early dinner and it was great! At the owner’s recommendation we had the mantoo and it was incredible. Flavorful dumplings covered in a wonderful zesty tomato sauce with lentils and surrounded by creamy yogurt. The perfect starter. Hubby had chicken kabobs wrap and fries and the eggplant with the qabli rice. The chicken kabobs was perfectly cooked. The eggplant was sautéed, covered in sauce and yogurt and was incredible. Paired with that rice with all the warm spices and raisins – perfection. Complimentary hot tea topped off one of the best meals I’ve had in a while. Their service was impeccable, the place was very clean. We will definitely be back!

This wonderful restaurant popped up when we were looking at ideas for lunch. The owner was so kind and helpful throughout our visit. He gave great recommendations even suggesting I try the qabli pilov’s rice with the kebab kobidah I ordered and it was a perfect recommendation. So warm and comforting. One of the best meals I have had in some time. I also ordered the mantoo; the dumpling themselves had so much flavor plus the sauce on top made it perfection. My friend ordered the eggplant entree and hummus which she loved as well. Will definitely be back!

Stopped by here after shopping in Cincinnati and were pleasantly surprised and impressed.. while the restaurant is very simple but the food makes up for it. Try the lamb shank over the rice and Mantoo dumplings are the best. The owner is a very pleasant gentleman and pleased us with all of our requests. We will be back definitely soon

Very authentic flavors! Very nice sized portions and great friendly service. We happily would drive over a hour to visit again, wish there were some authentic spots like this place closer to Columbus!!

If you haven’t tried this spot, you’re missing out! Afghan Grill is an absolute gem! Their signature Qabili Pilov is a culinary masterpiece, succulent lamb layered over spiced, fragrant rice with just the right touch of sweetness. Everything was cooked to perfection, and the flavors were incredible. The owner, Rami, was warm and welcoming, making the entire experience even better. He went above and beyond to accommodate our large group. Everyone left full, happy, and already planning to come back. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for authentic Afghan cuisine!

The best Afghani food east side of Mississippi. We were traveling from Indianapolis to Cincinnati area and we found this restaurant. One of the best foods and service. Rami was serving us. The owner went out of his way to service on a very short notice on Christmas Eve when he was closing. Every item we ordered was delicious down to the chutney. We will definitely stop again next time we are in the area

Stopped in here for the first time. It will not be the last! Everything was excellent. We did the dinner for two and got one of each of the kabobs. The meat was fresh, well seasoned and cooked to perfection. The lamb was melt in your mouth tender and not gamey. The chicken was juicy and yet (somehow) still some crispy spots on the edges. The beef was also extremely tasty. I got the up charge of 2 bucks for the flavored rice with raisins and carrots, so glad that I did. Also, if you like a bit of space, ask for the mint chutney. Yummy

I took lamb chop which was extremely dry and burnt. Another dish was Kabuli polao which was edible. All the food was salty. Exorbitantly expensive as the quantity is very small and we paid $65 for this food along with a Mango lassi and a can of coke.
