Watermark is such a wonderful spot to grab a drink while in Asbury. The atmosphere is simply amazing, let’s start there. This place will be quite busy with people, but really emphasizes the “lounge” aspect of a cocktail bar and offers many places to sit down with friends– it’s never a challenge to find a place to gather with friends even on a busy weekend night. The outdoor section is really nice, offering a view of the Stone Pony from away, and free live music!
The drinks from the cocktail menu are amazing! I really enjoyed the Violetta, and a blueberry cocktail that they had on the menu. There were many I wanted to try that I didn’t get a chance to, so definitely coming back. Nothing was crazy expensive either standard cocktail prices.
Service was fast and efficient, which is very impressive for a cocktail bar that stayed consistently crowded around the whole night.
Overall, a favorite spot of mine to visit. The place stays busy but there’s always a spot to sit and never a long wait for a really nice drink. 5 stars.

Last night I had roughly 30 friends meet me at Watermark for my birthday. Many living local were there for the first time. Everyone was blown away by the space. Kristy & Michelle took care of everyone and that couldn’t have been easy. Everyone was raving about the food! We had a great night so grateful for the experience.
We did have a situation with the manager on duty, he spoke to one senior woman in the party completely unprofessional. Granted we did make an error and she did apologize, heck we all did. He had No couth whatsoever. Many of the attendees were floored. Some that witnessed the situation decided to leave even a party next to us of 4 women from NY. Decided not to give Watermark any more of the $.
Now granted I have been many time to this establishment and never had a problem. I’m grateful for all that they provide and I will return.

Disappointed, Disrespected, and Put at Risk After Years of Loyalty
I’ve been coming to this bar for over 6 years—my husband (10+) and I own a beach property in West Allenhurst and visit throughout the year. We’ve always supported this establishment, often purchasing bottles and choosing to sit down and enjoy the atmosphere. But tonight, after attending a wedding and arriving dressed accordingly, we were treated with shocking disrespect.
A group of patrons claimed we couldn’t sit in a section they hadn’t even paid for, and immediately targeted my husband with ageist remarks, saying they didn’t want “someone old” near them. When we didn’t move, one individual threatened to physically pick me up and remove me from my seat. I told security that my safety was being threatened, and they refused to address the person who made that threat. Instead, they chose to remove us—longtime, respectful patrons—while allowing a group of visibly intoxicated younger and trashy looking individuals to stay. That decision was not only insulting, it was dangerous.
I spoke with the head of security, who acknowledged that we’ve never caused issues and are known to staff. Yet we were still forced to leave because he “didn’t know the full story.” It was clear that credibility and loyalty meant nothing in that moment.
This experience was deeply upsetting. The lack of professionalism, the tolerance of discriminatory and threatening behavior, and the failure to protect regular patrons is unacceptable. No matter how much money you spend or how long you’ve supported this place, it seems respect, safety, and fairness are no longer part of the culture.

When we arrived, we were waiting to be seated. After a while we found out other people just went in straight and we followed.
Must try the Fries. Really tasty. Tuna Tartare is also fresh. For the Meatballs, we did not have high expectation but they were also tasty.

Attended a wedding here over the weekend. I have a really severe gluten allergy so emailed in advance to ensure it could be accommodated – chef Mo took INCREDIBLE care of me. Walked me through all safe food items on the phone & then day of event – Mo checked in before & after every course to make sure I was loving the food/letting me know what out of the options was safe for me. Prevented all cross contact fully and even offered to make me gluten free pasta if I was still hungry! Not only was it super safe everything was delicious. 10/10 recommend – all around incredible time. THANK YOU CHEF MO!!!!

Went to Watermark for the first time with close friends this past week before a concert at the Stone Pony. The drinks were perfectly balanced. Service was great. The food was executed so beautifully. The outdoor rooftop space is casual/comfortable and the inside offers high end lounge vibes. You can spend hours here enjoying every minute of time with loved ones and friends. We will definitely be back!

One of my friends and I got together and tried this spot out. I have been wanting to give it a try for a while. When we arrived we found parking not too far. Fyi you have to pay until 9pm daily. When we walked in the spot was super cute with indoor and outdoor seating. We sat indoors at first and got drinks. The bar moved fast and the drinks were affordable. I got a spiked tea and it was good. I then got a glass of wine and that was good too. My friend enoyed her drinks. We sat outside for the remainder of the time there and the views were nice. A DJ comes after a certain time also. We had a good time and I definitely will return.

Great find . Upbeat bar/restaurant that appeals to a wide age range of people. Friendly and fun. Overlooks the Stone Pony so it’s perfect for seeing and listening to the bands! Menu has great small plate options and huge cocktail/beer choices. The bartenders, servers and even security people are friendly and professional.
