I have eaten at this location multiple times, and if you order your hot dog exactly how you want it, that’s what you will get. Great dogs, they are delicious; maybe a little over cooked but that’s ok. Now, the cheeseburgers; is this a joke? a 3–4-inch rectangle of beef that is overwhelmed by the bun. I put pickles and onions on it and it still looked feeble. I can’t believe I paid $10 for two of these- you can get more bang for your buck at McDonalds, etc. The service was great; gentleman was very nice. Visited on 3/4/2026

First time here. Not busy. Was waited on and served very quickly. We got the special – 2 weiners (comes with chili, onions and mustard, I added cheese) and a large fry all for just under $13. They have ketchup and vinegar to add to fries. Plenty of seating and seemed like a clean environment. Staff was friendly. Overall not a bad quick stop.

Ill try to keep this short. Friendly staff, blazing fast service and the weiners are tasty. I got one with everything and one with egg/cheese + everything. All around tasty. The only thing i didnt like were the onions which tasted green and bitter, which is a shame because they put a mountain of it on top. If you come here, leave off the onions and enjoy if youre a hot dog enthusiast.

So the reviews aren’t lies first off the staff SUPER NICE!!!!! it was clean looking. Offer free water cups. And literally waited maybe 2 minutes for our food..now for the food review…TRASH lol.. the hot dog tasted funny like the meat itself was …weird.. they overloaded it with toppings so I had to peel back a inch thick layer of it to actually taste the dog. And it was cut up and had a weird texture and taste. The chili cheese fries were decent but if there were no toppings the fries are veryyy bland. I ordered a burger and a hot dog the burger patty was indeed cut in half on a hot dog roll so it was like a cheeseburger sub..again bland no seasoning on anything also got the chili it had soooo many onions and a thick slice of cheese and not much flavor we had the coupons so it was like 7 bucks but at regular price It would’ve been 12 I think. But the food is not worth it in my opinion and I won’t be back but s/o to the super nice staff.

I was craving some comfort food similar to my hometown favorite hot dog shop(pe).
The atmosphere is par for the course, not a soul other than us and an employee on break.
The service is fine and the food came out fast and was how we ordered it.
The food was a massive disappointment. The buns had the consistency of low grit sandpaper, the weiner was oddly firm and snapped like a sausage when bitten into. Taste was mediocre and the cheese was a simple slice of half melted american. Fries were low quality as you would expect from a shaved ice stand. The rice pudding was somehow the most offensive part of the meal, starchy, firm, and undercooked. With hints of cinnamon.
I don’t know how they got famous in the first place.

Great food and service. We are fortunate to have a Famous Hot Weiner in York. Years ago I used to drive to Hanover for the hot dogs. Very good dogs with excellent homemade chili sauce. Mustard, onions, and sauce is the way to go. I wouldn’t rank them as one of the “best dogs in the USA” category, but they are solid and enjoyable.

You want overcooked food and terrible service at high prices this is the place for you! Have an issue with a pick up order? Just call so they can say its your fault and automatically hang up on you. That awful experience paled in comparison to the next one which was actually eating this food. Better off chewing on a rubber hose than trying choke down a $5 hot dog which is absolutely drowning in onions. Stay far away.

Absolutely not worth it.
I paid $12 for 2 hot dogs and a side of fries. I got one hotdog with “everything” which includes Mustard, Chili, and Chopped Onions. The second hot dog had relish and onions.
First, I’ve had better chili out of a can. Second, the onions were not good. Third, the hot dog itself was mediocre, at best. Fourth, they put too many toppings on. Perhaps if they were better tasting it would have been ok but it was basically slop.
The fries were flavorless, but at least I was able to finish them, unlike the hotdogs.
$12 is an absolute rip-off. Do not go here.

I love a good Hot Dog. So, I had to check out the Famous Hot Weiner. I got The Famous Hot Weiner Special … two hotdogs with mustard, chili, and a generous helping of onions… Along with french fries. It was wonderful… I will be back!
