Cass was a great server. She was super friendly attentive to our allergies and requests. Gave great recommendations on the food. We had alligator starter as well as the creole shrimp. My wife enjoyed her etouffee. I liked my redfish a lot. My one comment the kitchen cooks the fish skin and scale on which kept the fish nice and moist and very well cooked, however there were scales to pick out of my meal (understandably) green beans were delicious. And both the beignets and croissant bread pudding were yummy. We will be back and bring the rest of the family.

This was our first time here and we had an amazing experience tonight! The drinks and the food were delicious. We can’t stop talking about the beignets and the croissant bread pudding – do not skip those! Sarai was our server and she was the best! She gave us great recommendations and she has the sweetest personality. We will definitely be back again!

From the moment we were greeted to the moment we left the friendly and attentive staff were made this a wonderful dining experience. Cocktails, the award winning Deviled Eggs with caviar to the decadent Red Fish and Jumbo Crab Cakes both paired with the perfect complimentary sides made this dining event one of the best we ever experienced. My husband and I travel world wide and this place definitely ranks in our top five. I never ask to speak with the chef, but we were so impressed with the quality of food that I had to personally recognize her and her staff! 5 stars all the way!!!!

I always appreciate when a restaurant leans confidently into its theme — and Voodoo Bayou definitely delivers on atmosphere. The space feels energetic and bold, with a menu that promises Southern comfort and Cajun flair.
I ordered the gumbo and a strawberry margarita.
The gumbo had a solid base — smoky and savory — with a roux that tasted thoughtfully built. The sausage had good seasoning, and the seafood was cooked properly. Where it fell short for me was depth: the broth lacked the layered complexity I expect from a gumbo simmered low and slow, and the seasoning could’ve used a touch more heat and salt to really wake it up. Good — but not memorable.
The strawberry margarita was refreshing and visually appealing, with a nice balance of sweetness and tartness.
Service was polite and fast, and the crowd wasn’t overwhelming.
Overall, Voodoo Bayou is a fun place with personality, and my meal was decent — just not quite at the “wow” level I hoped for. With a bit more flavor finesse and consistency, it could easily climb higher.
Would I return? Yes — but I’d try a few other dishes before deciding if it becomes a regular stop.

Out Saturday night post Thanksgiving for a fun night with music tonight at this cool place.
Cass made some suggestions right when we meet her at the table, Also Hope made some great suggestions.
I went with The Jambalaya, it was just right spice level, and so flavorful.
Shrimp, ham, chicken, andouille sausage, okra and more. So yummy!
My wife had the crayfish etouffee. Not my style but yummy.
Our friends had a steak and potato cake and a yellowtail crudo.
Service was excellent and we stayed till after 9 to hear the live band play!
Ended the night with a bread pudding and a bourbon pecan vanilla ice cream! Wow wow wow!

Went here for a girls night and we decided to get a couple of dishes to share and honestly that is the way to go! Everything we got was sooo sooo good. The drinks were strong but presented very aesthetically and the food was amazing. We got the Mac and cheese wheels with corn bread a ceaser salad and the bbq shrimp. The ambiance inside is pretty cool too it’s dark and decorated. It does get packed so we sat at the bar but it was still a vibe. Already thinking about when to go back.

This is a Creole style restaurant. The decor and vibe is very “New Orleans” and Creole. It is dark with psychedelic type lighting. The food is tasty and a bit spicy with a good selection of Creole favorites, ie alligator nuggets, waffles and fried chicken, jambalaya, etc. Overall, we had a good experience here.

found this place completely by chance and we were completely blown away. the food was phenomenal and you can’t beat dinner and a live show. really awesome place and Riley was on point too very attentive and super personable. 10/10 would highly recommend.
