My favourite! You can really taste the difference between a ‘usual Indian takeaway’ and Shoboraj. Much more authentic, you can taste the depth of ingredients and the texture is perfect. Always great service and quick to accommodate.

Best curry house in the UK, without shadow of a doubt! The ingredients are fresh, which makes the food super delicious. All of the kebabs are hand made and the owner even assured that the mince meat is produced in house. All in all, the quality and freshness of ingredients makes the food super delicious. Staying away In Newport for work and came across this restaurant as it was close by. Where do I start? The food was incredible from start to finish. The lamb chops were tender and flavoursome accompanied with a salad and yoghurt sauce packed with flavour. Then the main..a dish recommended by the host to suit my preference something that packs a punch but isn’t too hot…and oh lord did they deliver. Absolutely unreal Indian food that leaves you full..happy..and wanting more. Side note..one of the best if not the best naan bread I’ve ever eaten. The only downside is that I don’t live here so I can’t come back every single weekend.

This is an absolute shining gem of Newport dining. Every single dish was great, even the sundries were special and delicious. I’m surprised we could just walk in on a Thu eve and didn’t need a booking with the food quality. The staff was amazing too, you can really tell they like this place and are proud of the food they serve.
This was a spontaneous dinner out a few weeks ago. Came here after a long break from curry being discouraged by previous questionable food experiences in Newport. It’s not just curry but other top rated restaurants that are quite disappointing. People here settle for questionable quality of food as they have no other options… please people stop settling for bad food and give feedback so establishments have a chance to improve. Sayings that Shoboraj you’re doing a great job and keep going at this level <3

We just visited this place for the first time.
We stood at the entrance for about 5 minutes while the waiter was taking order from 2 people who were sat at a table. All other tables were empty. So we decided to sit at a table until this waiter gets free and comes to us. As we were approaching a table this waiter shouted at us “Excuse Me! You have to stand and wait there until I get free”. At that moment We decided to leave that place because of that man’s arrogance. So we don’t even know how the food taste like.
