Partner and I ordered the Pollo Torta and Chorizo Torta, respectively. Partner enjoyed Pollo thoroughly. The fries were nice and crispy. My chorizo needed more seasoning, the ancho chili pepper was undetectable and any other seasoning was muted. Everything else, the roll and veggies, were quite good and fresh tasting. Chips and salsa are not complimentary like many other restaurants, but for $5 the chips and salsa offered were of decent serving and tasty.

Great place!
We’ve eaten here several times and ordered take out countless times. Always delicious!
We love the nachos, chimichangas, empanadas, burritos, and tostones con guacamole. Attentive staff and fair prices.

Above average Mexican food.

Entres (Chicken Tacos/Fajitas/Enchiladas) were pretty solid. Their versions didn’t really hit too hard for me flavor-wise, but good.

Rice and beans were good. Probably my favorite part.

Chips and salsa were pretty unremarkable. Chips were small and salsa was sort of blended-tomato-ish type of sauce. Personally prefer the big flakey restaurant style chips and chunky salsa, so not really my bag, but certainly not bad.

Just kind of “Meh”. Definitely a fine spot. Relatively good price too. Friendly staff and atmosphere. Likely wouldn’t go back though.

I love Mexican food. This was the worst Mexican food I have ever had. Had enchiladas with mole sauce. The enchiladas were stone cold. I asked the waitress to microwave them, which she did. The “salsa” was horrible. Not sure what it was made of. We were a party of 6 and no one was happy with their food. Very disappointing…won’t be returning.

What a gem! True authentic flavors in every bite and less than 10 mins from Point Pleasant Beach! We had such a great experience from the food, to the service, to the music and restaurant decor. It was truly like stepping into an abuela’s kitchen for the hour. It’s not common to find many great Spanish food spots down the shore but this location is a MUST-TRY. Their Birria tacos were 12/10! Also, for those who may not want the cheese added. It is optional! My babygirl loved the rice and beans. My mom enjoyed her chicken tacos!

I was very disappointed ordering from here, especially with all of the great reviews. The food does NOT taste authentic. Mexican food always has flavor and seasoning and this was the blandest meal I have ever eaten. I ordered a chicken burrito and the only way I could describe it was grey. Even pouring verde sauce all over it didn’t help. The verde sauce was oily. I could see it pooling along the sides of the cup. The rice inside the burrito and served on the side was soggy. I gave up on the burrito and figured I would fill up on the chips and salsa that we ordered. The red “salsa“ (if you could even call it that) tasted like watered down tomato sauce from a can with table pepper on top for “seasoning “. Don’t let the little bit of cilantro fool you because I couldn’t even taste that. Cilantro is typically a stronger flavor and it was concerning that I couldn’t taste it. I also want to note that I’m pregnant and was starving by the time I ate and those two things usually make everything taste great. Only order from here if you enjoy bland food.

I visited Doña Julia recently and ordered the tacos dorados. Unfortunately, they were a huge disappointment. The filling was nothing more than boiled, tasteless chicken stuffed into a fried corn tortilla, topped with a little lettuce and tomato. There was zero seasoning, no flavor, and absolutely none of the authentic Mexican touch you’d expect from a dish like this.

What should have been a crisp, savory, and satisfying plate felt bland and uninspired. If you’re looking for real Mexican flavors, this isn’t the place.

food was ok but soo overpriced, service was awful. really rude waitress. gave me attitude when i alerted her about an allergy, gave my boyfriend attitude when he asked for a specific salsa after she brought us a mild salsa without asking which one we wanted. didn’t check in on us, and was really rude and tense the whole time.

Nice spot with great food. Guacamole is so good here. Empanadas with potato were fresh and the green salsa was very spicy I ordered a burrito and it was money. Chorizo had great flavor.

The food was okay. Not extremely good . The tacos were really nice . The enchiladas was saucy and did not seem to be well cooked . Had tried the “Maria Enchiladas “. Restaurant Interior is pleasant.
