First off the waitress who waited on us was nice and courteous. 2nd the complimentary salsa was not good at all. Didn’t get choice of red and or white. The food when it came was ok except for the lunch special number 8 and what ever special my daughter got. The mole sauce was just “awe full” and not like I Re breed from my days in CA. The tortilla that was fixed with my combo was corn and I don’t remember seeing that in the description but could of been. Chicken in side was dark meat though well done was a disappointment. Then before we left we order a order of the white dip and chips. We paid extra for them but the waitress brought us the dip to pay when we paid. When checking dip bag before leaving no chips so we asked the waitress took the left over chips from our table and put in a container and handed it to us. Final straw was hours later that evening I got really sick. So we won’t be back. And Mexican (authentic ) is my favorite. We do love El Patron and Casa Grande so to say that I was disappointed is exactly how we felt.

Excellent service! We enjoyed our food outside on the patio. Big portions for the price! All meals were steaming hot and our waitress was very polite. Never had to ask her to bring any drink refills , as she did that on her own. We will be back! Definitely recommend this mexico restaurant location

The front staff were not very friendly. We didn’t wait long to be seated as they were not very busy. The waitress seemed very rushed, which is odd when you are not busy at 545 on a Saturday night. Possibly a red flag.. The drinks and chips came out quick. The chips were very low on salt but were warm. The salsa was pretty basic, not the worst, but I have had way better. Then comes the food. The chicken and steak fajitas were ok. Grilled chicken nachos were a hit with my teen, but the only thing that comes on them is chips chicken and queso. The shredded chicken nachos came with hardly any chips and no queso. You must pay extra for lettuce, Pico, jalapeños and sour cream, which I added. I ended up with a glorified overpriced bowl of chicken, a minor amount of jalapeños and Pico, yet loads of lettuce. When we asked about the queso, we were told it’s like water sitting on the bottom of the plate.. The other nachos we paid for had queso, which wasn’t water. The cheese quesadilla, which was ordered by an adult, came as a child sized quesadilla. If they are infact this small, why wouldn’t you alert an adult who ordered this as an entree. The Mexican potatoes were weird. They were some type of mashed potatoes. They looked similar to sweet potatoes. 2 people at the table tried them, and both said they are not sweet potatoes, have an odd texture, and not so great flavor. Overall, I gave 2 stars because the food was mediocre but expensive. I also left hungry because I wasn’t eating a plate of chicken and lettuce. I would have given 1 star, but the manager took the nachos that came without queso and 5 total chips off the bill.

Mexico restaurant, located off of Mechanicsville turnpike is a great place for a quick bite or dinner with family. Reasonably priced and good portions. We were able to sit outside and it was a great experience having lots of beautiful flowers and well kept plants made the outside eating area very welcoming. Food was hot and cooked to order. My friends and I ordered a burrito as well as a bowl and chicken entree. We were all very satisfied and happy with our meals

Date night. The food and service was superb. Shrimp fajitas are exceptional. Loved the appetizers as well. The margaritas so refreshing. Do yourself a favor and check them out, you won’t regret it.

The food here had absolutely no flavor. This was my first time having to send my food back. The manager wasn’t very hospitable either. Both of us literally only had one bite of our food when we informed the manager we were not happy with the food. We had no problem paying for the only thing we did have, which was the drinks. Instead of comping the meals that we did not eat, he forced us to pay for half of food. When stating that we didn’t believe that it was fair to pay for half and half hadn’t been eaten, he said “well we have a lot of people that come in here, I can’t do more than that,” dismissing our feelings. Very disappointing food, service, and staff.
