A friend introduced me to this spot for their birria tacos, and he was absolutely right. We came late at night just before closing. It was windy and cold, but honestly the perfect weather for hot, crispy birria tacos and a warm cup of consommé.

Everything is outdoors, but there was a large white tent that we were able to sit under, which helped. There was only one person working, and he was clearly hustling and doing his best, so it took a bit for him to get to us. Once our order was placed, the food came out in about 10 minutes.

The tacos were delicious. The consommé was rich and flavorful, and the hot sauce that comes with it was excellent. Exactly what you want on a cold night.

Just a heads-up: it’s dark at night with minimal lighting. Parking is nearby, it’s very casual, and it’s set up like a food-truck area with a few other Mexican vendors around.

I would definitely go back. They have a gigantic taco I want to try next time. I’ve read mixed reviews about the ramen, so I’m on the fence about that, but I’d try it with more people. Overall, simple, fast, and very satisfying.

Con Sabor a Mexico definitely brought the heat. I’m continuing my review streak with this local spot because they are doing some things very, very well.
The Main Attraction:
I went straight for the Quesabirria Tacos. These were excellent—perfectly grilled with that signature crisp on the tortilla.
• The Consomé: This is where many places miss, but here it was rich and savory, making for the perfect dip.
• The Salsa: The provided salsa had just the right amount of kick to balance the richness of the beef. Combining the consomé and salsa for dipping was a total game-changer.
The Experience:
The presentation was clean (check out my photos of that golden-brown taco shell!), and the service was efficient. It’s the kind of place where you can tell the kitchen cares about traditional Mexican flavors.
The Verdict:
If you are in San Jose and craving authentic Quesabirria, this is a solid 4-star destination. It’s flavorful, reliable, and absolutely satisfying. I’m looking forward to seeing what else their menu has to offer on my next visit!

Very poor customer service,
We saw there was no one so we went to the truck and the employee gave us attitude telling us that you can’t order when we just wanted to ask for help.
The tacos were very greasy and the meat was just big chunks!
Do not recommend to anyone looking for good tacos!!

Love, love, love the quirky style of this restaurant. Made me feel like I’m visiting a barrio.
Service is great! However, they don’t accept credit card payments.
Please bring cash.
Food is definitely worth it. Would definitely go back .

I have been here a few times. I ordered their “famous” BirriaQueso Tacos with Consome, four times. Super flavorless. Its like eating slightly flavored water. The cheese and meat was decent. I order Burrito Birria cause I saw its picture on the burrito section. The food truck lady began making a regular burrito and when I asked her about how it didn’t look like the burrito in the photo she proceeded to argue with me despite using a translator to mitigate the language barrier. Finally, after a few minutes of arguing someone came by and helped clarify what I was saying, despite it being very clear. I walked away with the two burrito and ate it. The salsa was very good, but the burritos were slimy and bland. Like their famous Birra Tacos. Low rating. Ive had better. Not coming back. I shouldn’t have had to stand there arguing over what was order originally. I hate arguing. Plus, the food is bad and I gave it multiple tries. Do not recommend.

Great food. Don’t expect speed. But it is worth the wait. Go on a warm day if you want to eat there.
Delicious.

I’ve had 2 things here and they are great.
Birria tacos, and the fries. Fantastic.

It’s an outdoor venue with the meat being cooked right next to you so the smells are wonderful. Some patio furniture, turf, and areas to gather make it a great lunch spot if the weather is nice. Plenty of shade if there’s too much sun.

If your in the area and want some great street tacos. Come here.

I had been waiting so long to eat here. I finally got the chance. The Birria here is deelicious! The tacos were out of this world! The shrimp baja taco was so good. The birria tacos were sensational! It was so hot out and the Agua Frescas hit the spot! The cucumber lemonade was our favorite! Go here!

I was fooled! All the hype on the local news making this place seem unique with great food.

It is not special or has great food.

It average looking food truck with a nice pink neon sign with average greasy tacos. The Mexican ramen bowel is good after a day in the refrigerator but taste is only okay when ordered at the food truck.

But that is my humble opinion

It was easy to find from Google Map.
Parking was easy but it was a Thursday around 2:30pm
Service was average, not rude but not like Chick-Fil-A either.

Won’t eat here again. Over price food with average taste.

There are better tacos for less money.

If you don’t come early, be prepared to wait!
Flavors are good for sure, and with a few details tended to, this place would be phenomenal
Birria fries were a miss. Birria was good. Fries were blah.
Tri tip plate- tri tip was overcooked and cut with the grain on some parts. It also lacked some flavor.
There were no Aguas Frescas when we ordered, but they arrived a bit after. However, we were not going to wait in line again. Trust me, the line stays longggg!!

Quesabirria was bomb for sure!
We had the Baja taco, too, which was good
