Food was good…beer was reasonably priced…but only half of games worked. The Operations Manager on duty blamed it on a nationwide issue which is likely some template answer and based on other reviews seems to be an ongoing issue. Not sure why this issue would only impact certain games. Also, we paid for a VR machine game but it didn’t work so we had to get reimbursed credits. Lastly, the air hockey machine was missing a puck. After paying $60 for a card and with two kids wanting to play each other, the gaming situation was a disappointment.

Excellent place for friends and/or kids birthday party. Clean and fun environment, very helpful and friendly staff, good food, great prizes for the kids. It was an amazing place for my son’s 13th birthday. Their event coordinator was an easy phone call and that really helped answer my questions and direct us to the best party package. Fantastic customer service!

We had our company party at Main Event KC North, and all the employees had a great time! They loved the food and drinks and the variety of activities available. The banquet servers and other staff were all very helpful and willing to answer questions as they came up. It was a great option for our large group party and John was very helpful with the planning process and worked with us to make changes when our group ended up being much larger than we had originally been planning for. We got excellent feedback from our staff about the party, and we will definitely consider Main Event for future company events.

I have been to 3 Main Event locations between St. Louis and Kansas City and this location in the Northland by far has the best staff. Friendly and attentive even though they were super busy. I will book my son’s May birthday party here for sure!

My local main event in ks doesn’t have the fun coin pusher games, me and my kids love them. I always come here to play them at least twice a month. It was super busy for them today on Saturday but the game maintenance team is always super fast to address any issues with my favorite games, even when they seem pretty busy. Steven and Gunnar were here tonight and both of them made sure everything was running up to speed with no questions asked. There’s also this blonde girl who is usually here on week nights but not tonight, big thank you to all of them.

Overall it is a fun place to go to. Kids have fun. The food is ok. The drinks are festive and fun. The staff does an amazing job. Friendly, attentive. The games are a nice variety except, for the price, they should all work and they don’t. Skeeball didn’t always have the right amount of balls. When you’re wrangling kids you can’t always walk over and find an attendant to tell them. It would be nice if they had some strategic “call attendant buttons” place around the area. The soccer game never worked, no soccer ball existed and I was not able to get an attendant at that time. The only other suggestion is to have a non – alcoholic option of the festive alcohol drinks so when a 5 year old wants the same drink as you with the red sugar and cherries, you can request it.

Lexi T was the 1st person we met here. He was incredibly helpful, joyful, and let me know if a new brand of coconut rum that I will surely be changing to. This place is wonderful for children and adults!

Waited 30 minutes on lanes for service. Food took another 20 minutes, and we were missing a kids’ meal. Had to track down our server and waited 10 more minutes for the kids’ meal. Our lane broke down multiple times, and we had to find someone to help fix it. The birthday party next to us was out of control and playing recklessly while the party host stood there doing nothing to ensure anyone’s safety.
Multiple games were down. Laser tag only had maybe 7 vests working out of 30. We were not told that until our game time was upcoming and our entire group couldn’t join to play together. Signing up for a time for gravity ropes was a joke. I signed up for laser tag with the same game attendant who told me I couldn’t sign up for gravity ropes because the girl wasn’t there yet. I checked back 15 minutes later to sign up for gravity ropes, and the same guy I spoke to earlier said I could sign up with him, and the next time wasn’t until an hour later. Why couldn’t I have known this earlier? It’s quite inconvenient to keep track of our own time for activity sessions without a printed ticket for our sessions. Do people just line up for activities now without a confirmed ticket? What’s the point of signing up for a time?
One of our guests finally got up on gravity ropes with a different group, and I noticed two game attendants on the floor by the entry and no employee up on top of gravity ropes to watch guests. That is a very big safety concern, especially with the zip line. What if there is an emergency take down? No one was up there. Near the end of the session, one employee finally appeared on top of gravity but sat against a pole with her back towards the group of guests using the zip line. I was just waiting to see if she would pull her phone out because she wasn’t doing anything else. Other guests had trouble with the zip line track and break – not knowing because there wasn’t anyone to help instruct.
Trash and empty dishes were left all over the place, and the restrooms were dirty.
I was extremely disappointed with this visit and to find out firsthand how it has turned out so many years after being part of its original NCO management team breaks my heart.

I was so hungry from not eating all day the food was delicious. The service was terrible. The server was nice but she took forever to do anything. We didn’t get our drinks til after we had ordered. We never got offered refills until we had boxes and the bill. Train your servers to be more attentive.
