It certainly pays to go off the beaten path… My parents recently went to a family reunion in Decorah and told me about this meal they had at Twin Springs Supper Club. My mom said that it was totally my vibe and boy was she right. After winding down some gravel roads outside of Decorah we came across this restaurant that looks more like a cabin. It’s cozy with limited tables inside and a beautiful patio space with Christmas lights, gorgeous views of the woods surrounding the property, and heaters for when it gets chilly.
They had a great cocktail list with seasonal offerings and a food menu that made it difficult to choose what to order. Everything sounded good and we finally decided that we had to go with the surf and turf because I love shrimp, but heard how amazing the steaks are. We had these amazing little eggrolls with a sweet chili sauce and I loved the French onion soup. It’s no wonder this restaurant ranked number one in five different categories this year by OpenTable for Iowa. If I could give you a couple of recommendations based off of my experience, it would be to make sure you have a reservation because it fills up and if you enjoy red meat, you have to get a steak. This 4 ounce fillet had me wishing that I had opted for the ribeye instead just because I wanted more.

Outstanding supper club!
On a random winter Tuesday, we were passing through Decorah. There’s not a lot of options for dinner at 7PM on a Tuesday. Twin Springs popped up on Maps. The pictures and the menu looked great.
GPS took us to the employee parking so if you’re following GPS, you can see the correct entrance from where it may tell you to turn.
The entire staff was very pleasant and our waitress Stephanie was fantastic. We decided to splurge and were so happy that we did.
I ordered the chimichurri ribeye and my girlfriend had the filet. Both were excellent. I chose the steak soup and twice baked potato for sides and wow, both were delicious and complemented the steak well.
The owner, Roumel, came out and made a point to talk to every table about their experience. He has a genuine passion about well-prepared meals and quality drinks. His interest in the customer carries over to the rest of the staff.
We shared the crème brûlée and it was superb.
If you’re in the Decorah area and want a meal worth traveling a short distance off Hwy 52, go to Twin Springs.
Oh, in December, the rotary lights are on the opposite side of the highway from the restaurant… check ‘em out. Good job Decorah!

I can count on one hand the number of reviews I’ve written, but our experience was so extraordinary, I had to give Twin Springs Supper Club their flowers. My husband and I just got married this past week and decided to eat here during our mini honeymoon in Decorah, so we booked a last minute reservation. The moment we walked in and sat down, a “Congrats!” card was placed on our table that the entire staff had signed and the owner, Roumel, came to our table to congratulate us himself. He even found their final Wagyu steak in the back and offered it to my husband at a special discount to say congratulations. Our food was fantastic from the Lumpia appetizer to his Wagyu steak to my lobster tail and filet. Moe, our server, took the very best care of us and we couldn’t stop smiling throughout the entire dinner. Twin Springs shone with hospitality thanks to Moe’s and Roumel’s attention and care and we couldn’t recommend it more.

Such a treat in a fun out of the way setting – but worth the trip. Really just a few minutes outside of town, but nice remote areas in the woods.
Chef / owner touched our table multiple times and was genuine and great to talk to. Rest of team was great as well.
Several unique appetizers were delicious and the steaks were awesome. Must visit! Would be back for sure.

Great dining experience! Four of us from Colorado decided to make this restaurant the final stop in our visit to Iowa, and it was very much worth it. Our server was very personable, we were sat easily, and our food was timely. Everything from the bread to the main course was cooked perfectly and was delicious. The owner came by and visited with us which was delightful. The lights in the restaurant added a charming ambience.

We had a great time at Twin Springs. Had a chance to visit with the owner during our visit. He is a very personable guy who clearly knows how to make people feel at home. Pork chop and twice baked potato were excellent. Also enjoyed the crème brûlée for dessert.

Staff was amazing, it is obvious they take great pride in their work. The food was just as phenomenal. I had the ribeye and it was absolutely delectable and tender. Cost was around $50 and actually great value for the extremely high quality of food. The owner is very friendly and made sure to check in on each table to ensure they had a great experience. I love the opportunity of patronizing and giving my had earned money to people who also work hard and take pride in their work, such as a business like this.

We celebrated our Anniversary here and had an amazing experience. Our food and drinks were delicious. Our steaks were cooked perfectly! Our server was absolutely phenomenal!! Some of the best service I’ve ever had at a restaurant!! The owner spoke to us during our meal and even took time to walk us to our vehicle with an umbrella because it was raining. This is one of the best restaurants we’ve ever been to. We’ve eaten here before and have always had a great experience.

Looked forward all week to our experience at Twin Springs. Went with for other people to celebrate a birthday. It was restaurant week and so I tried one of these specials, my lumpia Was out of this world. My salad was just a salad and only enough salad dressing for about a fourth of it. The beef tenderloin tips were not exactly what I was looking for. The mashed potatoes were around the edge of a bowl, similar to soup bowl and inside. It was kind of a stew like dish with a few carrots in it and very little beef tenderloin, what there was was tiny little pieces. The gravy was so salty. I was unable to eat it. I brought most of it home, but I don’t think I can even face eating it today. I know they were busy, but the service was not quite up to par. I did have a berry mule To drink and it was very good. The other four people had steak And three of them said, there’s also was seasoned so much with salt and something that it ruined it. I am sorry to give such a poor review But it is what it is. We may try to go back at some time, but probably not real soon.
