I have been here before about 2 years ago and it was absolutely spot on. But on this lazy Sunday in August – it was the worst. The waitress had a face when we came in. The chef in the back motioned to us to sit anywhere. When they told her we were sitting there she had an attitude and had another waiter come to us. (Don’t come to work if you are having a day— and you can’t attend to customers) your establishment or not. The waiter tried his best.
The complimentary bread that came wasn’t even warm…. We ordered a pie, half plain and the half onions and mushrooms. The cheese on the pizza …I’m not sure what it was but it was so gooey . (When but in the fridge the next day it was so bad) Mozzarella I’ve had at other brick pizza oven establishments were so much better. The pizza was also visibly burnt. Calamari was great, the clams and stuffed mushrooms needed more flavor and was burnt— a little crisp is okay but come on … I understand that we were the only family in the restaurant at the time BUT pay attention not to BURN food.
No other diners were in the establishment but us… so pay attention. Please save your money for other brick oven spots in the area

Inner city foodie here, let me first say Nicks pies could hang with any of the ten lists they make about the city, alas RVC will not get much representation on those lists but if you are a pizza lover let me assure you you are in a good place. The crust is crisp and crunchy and sauce is sweet it’s simple and perfect that alone deserves recognition. Now I would also say any of the other Italian fare won’t lead you wrong either but for that you have to try it yourself.

The food was fresh, delicious and reasonably priced. It was served quickly and the owner frequently checked in. Excellent place to eat. Classic Italian cuisine coming from an Italian!

Their thin pizza is delicious. Not overly salty and it’s always extremely fresh.
I consider myself a foodie. I’ve eaten at some of the most famous places and being from Brooklyn, I’ve been surrounded by good food my entire life. However, one thing I don’t see mentioned is their bakes clams. I’ve had clams oreganata from the best of them. Don Peppes and beyond. I didn’t expect them to be that frigin good. Probably the best I’ve had on Long Island.
Try them yourself if you don’t believe me!

This pizzeria is a gem of RVC. Sal and his fantastic staff made us feel so welcomed each time we dine in. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is clean and chill. Plus an incredible staff. Definitely give them a chance and you will be a returning customer.

Placed an order from uber eats order came quickly maybe a little too quickly. The pizza was ice cold and the cheese was running off the pizza. Have had good experiences in the past but either this was the house pie thrown in the box or it was just not prepared like we have had in the past.

Ordered a few trays from Nick’s last week. We normally order from Nick’s when in a bind.
We’ve never had a bad experience when ordering for pick up. Our food is ready when they are said to be ready and the portions are decent.
The pastas are always consistently good and the calamari is always done right versus other Italian establishments nearby, and not to mention, the cost is comparable or better.

I just back from Italy. Nick’s is as good as any place I’d been there. Highly recommend this place.
