The food was good. The pastries were excellent, fresh, and locally sourced. The staff were very pleasant and excellent to talk to. The atmosphere was amazing. Sitting on a covered patio in the woods to eat is always good.

I don’t understand the other one star rating. The food was mediocre, the facilities were decent, the service was very nice. I had a pastry and coffee. The coffee was strong and not the best but better than a keurig. The pastry tasted prepackaged, not fresh. All in all it’s a pleasant place and the food is just good enough to get the job done.

Attention people who give these types of places bad/low ratings. If you’re going to an amazing historic home and garden and have to chance to visit a place few others on the planet an only dream of seeing in person and you base your experience on the food options…please “get a life” they can feed me cold week old oatmeal and I am beyond lucky to have the opportunity to be in such an amazing places to eat the oatmeal and what’s most important is the company in which one shares their dining experience and not the food itself, so stop for a moment and appreciate the place and people around you and eat your cold oatmeal. Whiners.
