It’s great that they accept credit cards and other electronic payment methods.
The parking lot can accommodate about 8 cars. The boundary with the neighboring SoftBank store is unclear, and a SoftBank employee came over to say something while I was eating.
When I joined the line, they started distributing numbered tickets for the “Meat and Egg Fried Rice (500 yen),” which was limited to 50 servings for the pre-opening.
The restaurant has 7 tables in total, including tables for 2 and 4 people, and a counter with a capacity of about 4-5 seats.
At 11:00, the restaurant opened. About 3 groups were called in and went inside, but the rest were made to wait outside.
There should have been more people to enter based on the restaurant’s capacity, so I wonder why? It was cold outside, and it was drizzling, but more than 10 groups of customers were made to wait outside. I was about the 9th group, but I wasn’t able to enter until about 35 minutes after opening. I understand they’re testing things out during the pre-opening, but considering the weather and other factors, wouldn’t it have been better to let customers inside and have them wait? Other customers seemed dissatisfied as well.
Also, almost all customers were ordering the Meat and Egg Fried Rice, and they even handed out numbered tickets, so they should have known the order volume before opening. I think they could have prepared some of the food and served it immediately upon opening. Ten minutes after opening, they were only serving the third person, which made me worried that I’d have to wait an hour or so. I understand they want to serve freshly made food, but…
We entered the restaurant about 35 minutes after opening. I ordered the Meat and Egg Fried Rice, and my companion ordered the Fried Chicken Set Meal (with homemade tartar sauce).
The food arrived in about 10 minutes.
The Meat and Egg Fried Rice was dark in appearance, resembling the fried rice at Lai Lai Tei. It had fluffy eggs, sweet and spicy pork, and green onions on top. It looked delicious…
After taking a bite, I thought the taste was quite similar to the fried rice at Rairai-tei. The base flavor was strongly soy sauce-based. The fried rice was a little moist rather than fluffy. I liked the taste, but it’s a bit different from typical fried rice, so I think it might not be for everyone. The pork on top wasn’t too strongly flavored, and the balance of flavors with the fried rice was good. The egg also played a good role in mellowing the flavor of the fried rice. In conclusion, I think it’s a matter of personal preference, but I liked it.
I tried one of my companion’s fried chicken pieces, and it was delicious with the sweet and spicy sauce and homemade tartar sauce. The fried chicken didn’t seem to be garlic-based, but rather had a strong ginger flavor. Fried chicken can also be ordered separately.
The accompanying soup, contrary to its appearance, was rather bland. Because the fried rice and fried chicken were so flavorful, I didn’t really taste the soup.
In terms of cost-performance, considering the regular price of the meat and egg fried rice is 980 yen, the portion size seems a little on the expensive side. The set meals and other fried rice dishes were average, I think.
There were three staff members: one cooking, one serving, and one plating and serving. Their service attitude and smiles were excellent, making for a very pleasant experience. The only downside was the initial wait time. I lowered the service rating because of that. It was cold, too… haha.
However, since it was a pre-opening, the restaurant is still experimenting and I expect it to improve.
I would like to visit again after the grand opening. Thank you for the meal!
