We came here for lunch and then the vibes are very good. Service is super fast and all the food was delicious. We had the two-course restaurant week menu with the chicken satay and the soft shell crab; both are very delicious. What amazed us was the delicious foam short ribs. We even added one bowl of broth because they are so fresh and delicious. Definitely come back. Also the greetings from the manager Williams was very nice. Highly recommend.

We discovered this Thai and Vietnamese gem while searching for lunch spots on our last day in NYC. The location is incredibly convenient to the subway, and the interior is both cozy and welcoming. We ordered the Thai Drunken Noodles, Vietnamese Pork Chop with Rice, and Steamed Dumplings. Every dish arrived quickly and was packed with flavor. A special shoutout to our waitress, Jana, who was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout our meal. Definitely worth a visit to OBAO!

Enjoy coming here once in a while when I want good Thai food. Their main entree are delicious but can’t go wrong with their noodles or rice dishes either. I would say one of my highly rated Thai places in this Midtown East area. Some of the sauces good be a bit thick with soy sauce and heavy but gotta try the dishes at least once and find your favorite! The pork chops are highly recommended by me! They have good weekly lunch specials too. One downside are the tables near the window could get pretty cold (the restaurant didn’t seem to have the best heating system) so make sure you’re bundle up if you visit during the cold days!

Everything was soooo good and the staff were so delightful and friendly. Standout dishes were the crispy pork appetizer where you build a little lettuce wrap and the pad see ew. Insanely good flavours. They also play amazing music and the design is so cute and intimate. I like sitting in the back room. Would love to come back here. Can’t recommend this place enough.

Food is amazing full of flavor. Three shrimps in green salad, Soft shell crab curry seafood and Pho Bo are wonderful and the sauce is heavenly.
Dined early in the day so it wasn’t busy so our waiter (Rose) was great and helped with awesome recommendations.
Stop in and enjoy ❤️

The most perfect restaurant in New York!
The tables are nicely spaced out, so you have plenty of privacy, and the staff are incredibly kind.
I asked them to make the food a bit spicy, and they adjusted it perfectly.
Most importantly, the food is absolutely delicious.
Make sure to order the calamari and stir-fried noodles — both are amazing!
And don’t ask them to take away the calamari plate when you’re done — use the sauce to dip your other dishes. Highly recommend!

Food is great here! They serve Thai and Vietnamese fusion food and we tried a few dishes on both sides. My family said the food is incredible and would like to come back! It’s better to make reservations as the spots filled up quickly. We ordered Thai tea and virgin cocktail. The cocktail wasn’t sweet and it can be done differently. Overall, we love this place and would come back again.
