One small suggestion: if possible, for catering events, it would be great to have an option for packets of mayo, mustard, and other condiments versus condiments in large containers. When serving a large group (80+), it slowed down the lines and got a bit messy with scooping and spreading mayo/mustard from their respective containers. For smaller groups, it’s great! For larger groups, the option for quick grab and go condiments would be nice.
All in all, a fabulous experience. We are regulars and will return in the future. 🙂
One of the best parts? It’s dog-friendly! We could relax and enjoy a great meal with our furry friend right by our side. The atmosphere is casual, fun, and welcoming for both people and pups.

#11 was great! Avocado was fresh …
Even school cafeteria can do better food.
If I could give zero star I could but the service was very friendly and caring thus you earned one star in that Lost Dog Cafe-Mclean!
That nice lady is probably the only reason the restaurant can still do business
Atmosphere :
This restaurant is located next to the Safeway and in the corner of the mall.
Plenty of parking. Overall vibe was run-down and gloomy.
Food :
We were searching for the dog-friendly cafe and I have heard lots of things for Lost Dog Cafe so i had my hopes up – knowing it is a chain too!
We ordered Crab Dog Dip, The fat molly, and Philly philly along with the dog collars (their onion rings). The total without the tip was around $48.18 and boy was it an expensive lesson to never go there.
Crab dip was so oily, could barely spot any crab and it was just a mush of oily, stale cheese.
Garlic bread was dry and tough.
Dog collars were not properly breaded, some burnt, and sauce mediocre. Also overly oily.
Both of the sandwiches were terrible!
The meats in there were so dry and stale it could have passed as a jerky from medieval times. Funky gamey smells from them was a definitely a plus in this incredible dining experience.
Pita bread and baguettes were stale, dry, tough, veggies stale and discolored, and the ingredients were just so underseasoned I thought I was eating a hospital low-sodium patient food.
Interestingly enough, the sandwiches were somehow so oily when we picked it up the oils dripped all over tables and our thighs.
Everything was inedible. My boyfriend and I took maybe one bite of each dish and just left the restaurant because our appetite have plummeted so deep into the ground.
Service:
The only positive thing from this institution. We dined today (sunday) around 2:30pm ish and the nice lady who served us was very cordial and caring. Super welcoming to our dog too. Thank you for your service!
If you have a dog, they provide milk bones and water bowls so if you want to pay almost 50 dollars to sit in the patio and chill with your dogs i guess this is the spot!
Overall, terrible terrible experience.
I should have just gone to subway and sit out in the parking lot. Would have enjoyed that much more since their sandwiches actually taste like food.
Convenience > quality. 3.5/5 stars.
If you’re looking for a good-to-great meal, you wont be satisfied here. Instead, you can find solid food for an above average price with a relaxed environment and a standard bar with local beer.
The menu was huge – like 5 full pages of text huge. God help you if you have dyslexia
Got the Bull Dog, which is pretty much a cheesesteak (they had a lot of variations of the same thing). It tasted like the ingredients were perhaps not as fresh as they could have been, but it’s probably because this is a chain restaurant and is limited to the vendors it can get foods from.
Service here was great and very attentive.
One of those places you go to because someone else wanted to!
FoOd: we ordered the crab dip appetizer, the Coyote Sandwich n the Arlington Sandwich n all 3 were absolutely delicious & taste very home made n fresh.
Service wz great n the experience wz great overall.
Parking: There was ample parking
