I’ve read some past reviews that say it’s expensive. Been to McDonald’s lately?? For the same price or maybe less you get REAL food. I’m in my 60’s and one of my favorite sandwiches is Italian combo. I’ve had them everywhere in CT. Their sandwich is flavor perfection. It’s not stuffed full with ½lb of meat and there is no need for it to be. No oil and vinegar or hot sauce or onions or mayo and yet it’s one of the best if not THE best combo I’ve ever had. The focaccia is airy perfection with a very light coat of quality olive oil and possibly a sprinkle of salt. The meats are quality for sure because they still stand out against the tapenade and the thin slice of pecorino(brilliant). I swear mine had fresh basil on it but I think Arugala is the norm(I suggest some basil leaves). That’s it, 6 high quality ingredients made a lasting impression on a lifelong Italian cook and extream foodie. Don’t change a thing! (except the inclusion of basil:)

Stopped here by chance the first time and I keep coming back! Drove past driving north from the city and it was the perfect stop. Patio tables and a grassy area to let our dog out and eat outside. Clean bathrooms, wifi, and delicious food. Thought it was a little pricey at first but the quality is there!! Flavorful and so fresh. Ordered to go the first time and fries to go are hit or miss… these were amazing. The fried chicken were big chunks and the sandwiches loaded up as well. Must stop if you’re in the area!

A Mixed Bag of Potential
Cornwall Market has a truly interesting concept, and as someone who appreciates a new local spot, I wanted to love it. It’s great to have a destination in an area that really needs one. The idea of blending a market with a cafe and a bakery is a solid one, but the execution feels a bit muddled. The space is trying to be so many things at once that it ends up feeling a little chaotic, leaving you wondering what the main focus is supposed to be. It’s hard to get a good sense of the flow, which makes Browse a bit confusing.
The biggest issue, though, is the price-to-quality ratio. Many of the products, from general groceries to the baked goods, feel quite expensive for what they are. I’d expect to pay a premium for high-end, locally sourced items, but much of what’s on offer is pretty average quality. The baked goods, in particular, were a disappointment. They looked great, but the flavor and texture were just okay, not enough to justify the price tag.
Unfortunately, the seating area doesn’t help. It feels like an afterthought—stark and uninviting—which is a shame for a place that’s meant to be a community hub. It doesn’t encourage you to linger over a coffee or a pastry, which could be a key part of the market’s charm.
Despite these issues, I’m giving it four stars because of the sheer potential. The market has the bones of a truly great destination. With a bit more focus on curating products that justify the price and creating a more welcoming atmosphere, Cornwall Market could become a genuinely cool spot and a true highlight for the neighborhood. It’s a worthy stop now, but it could be so much more.

Great food, great coffee. You’ve gotta get the breakfast burrito. I’ve had many a breakfast burrito in my life but this monstrous girthy beast takes the cake

Wonderful little eatery in Cornwall!!! Chic venue for sandwiches, chocolate and unique produce. As the place’s subtext suggests, chocolate seems to be the forte. Highly recommend the mocha latte or chocolate mousse dessert. Sandwiches were also delectable, particularly the Cubano. Apparently the Chicken Parm sandwich is the best menu item. The restaurant is new and clean, and though the ordering process is a little clunky and the guest seating is currently limited, it has boundless potential. When Cornwall Market finds its rhythm and hits its stride this cafe will be a tour de force!

Ridiculously overpriced, mediocre food. Over 8 dollars for a sad croissant. The barista couldn’t be bothered to heat the milk for my coffee past lukewarm. The bread in their sandwich was so cold and soggy it fell apart as I ate it. I’m sad places like this are still in business, ripping people off.

Insanely overpriced food. Insanely small portions. No flavor. Made quickly and cheaply. Fake representation of good food with good packaging and wood decor. I think this shop is extremely pretentious and they’ll soon discover that others feel this way too. I’m sure locals want to “support” local business but they’re supporting a shop that WANTS to be good but without the class or quality. The facility is clean, the space is well built but I’d rather get food from a crappy looking joint that tasted good and gave FAIR portions… than buy from a pretty place that makes bland food. Avocado toast. $12 with tax. This is insulting. This is miserable. Left a 20% tip on a $70 tab to buy food for my crew. And we’re all local. Will never go back here again.

What a treat. I was recently in the area for three weeks and was really impressed with the offerings at this cafe/bakery. I came back multiple times and each time was fantastic. First off- the coffee is really, really good (I guess it’s roasted across the street?!?!). But the star of the show is the bakery- the bread is phenomenal and make for very tasty sandwiches. The breakfast sandwich with house made sausage on a house made bun is one of the best I’ve ever had! The bagels are really good too .

Grabbed a foccasia turkey sandwich on my way to a fishing outing. I didn’t have great luck fishing, but loved the sandwich. I will definitely make it a point to visit the market when I’m the area for breakfast or lunch.

Wife and I stopped here while house hunting and found this gem of an establishment. As other reviews have mentioned, their bread is superb and made our sandwiches all the more delicious!
