The service was extremely personable, and Wilson, our server, was very helpful. He made a change and offered to make the beef chimichangas with ground beef. They were excellent and something that I always thought would be good. Most restaurants don’t go the extra mile, but this one is a gem in a sea of mediocrity. The restaurant is very nice inside and quite spacious with a traditional Mexican ambiance.

We read the reviews Decide to come see ourselves this was wrong choice. Food was pretty bland, not taste to it Just like chickens come from deli .it’s not cooked by the chef they served that blend chicken in the broken bowl also . Never go back there again what a waste of money . I will never trust reviews of any restaurants ever again I don’t know what kind of people give Five star reviews for a place like this. I love this place for its relaxed atmosphere and the great food. I usually go there for lunch cause it’s close to my work. The house margaritas are good and the food is fresh and hot and comes out quick. Alessa works during the day and she is the hardest worker. She does damn near everything. I saw her seat us, take my order, make the drinks, serve our food, sweep the floor after some ignorant loudmouths made a mess, bus tables, etc, etc. I swear she went in kitchen and cooked our food too, but I don’t have proof. All while being so pleasant and smiling the whole time. Tip her well, she deserves it. The margaritas are great!!

Fiesta Maya was surprisingly good for small town Delaware. My parents and I were in town for a family event and stopped in for dinner. Parking lot is large so no problems parking in this strip mall. Atmosphere is quirky, bright and the music is loud. Food though is very good with fairly good service and speed was OK although not super busy. Enjoyed and would go again if back in Newark.

I had high hopes for Fiesta Maya Mexican Grill, but the experience was frustrating. The service was painfully slow, even though the restaurant wasn’t busy at all. Probably they need more staff? It took forever just to get our drinks and order.
The chips were absolutely terrible… stale, bland, and almost inedible. A Mexican restaurant should at least get the chips right! The only saving grace was the Pollo a la Primavera, which was actually pretty good…

The boys and I wanted to eat something fast during our road trip. We liked the food but the service was not the best very slow despite the fact that the place was not busy at all . If you order the guacamole don’t expect any tomatoes & onions they have two types and I was not told til I got my order

My fiancé and I visited this location in April 2025. Since we’re new to the area and looking for something quick, we decided to give it a try. We were seated immediately and received our drinks promptly. However, we got some stale chips and didn’t think much of it. We started enjoying a good conversation, but our food took a long time to arrive, even though it wasn’t very busy, only three people at the bar and three other families in the restaurant.
The staff didn’t check on us or ask if we needed anything; we had to wait patiently. When I finally stopped a waitress to ask about our food, she seemed surprised and said she was just wondering if it was ready and would go check. Another waitress brought out our dishes, and it was clear they had been sitting for a while. While we were hungry enough to still eat, the food wasn’t as fresh as it should have been. You could tell it was sitting out.
Overall, the experience was disappointing, slow service, stale chips, and lacking attentiveness from the staff. The way the waitress looked at us when I asked about our food felt dismissive. Given the food quality and slow service, I don’t think we’ll be returning to give them another chance.

Still pretty new. Not very busy for a Saturday evening, so seating was quick. The restaurant is clean with decent decor. The waiter was a little young, and inexperienced, but was kind. I thought the fiesta nachos portion was a little on the small side even though the pieces of meat were plentiful. The food was hot, and fresh. Wasn’t wowed by it, but I like what I had. The drinks were mixed well. They’re off to a good start, and most likely will get better with time.

I was in town for a meeting for work and happened to pass by when I saw this place. I thought I would give it a try. It was amazing! Great food, friendly staff and a lively atmosphere. The prices were I round to be reasonable. They have a great selection to choose from and there is something for everyone. It was so good that I decided to come back the day before I went back home.
