First time stopping at the marina, since the renovation-now CB yacht club and The Barge. Stopped to fuel up the boat and the very helpful dockhand explained where to dock after fueling. Lots of spaces have been added for docking due to expansion. We ordered drinks. Delicious vodka lemonade! Food available are items from the Veggie Wagon. We only had cocktails. The waterway vibe is fabulous…except for the boaters that are not slowing down which creates a wake. The Barge rocks a bit, literally, mainly the upper deck. Loved the simulated shark catch photo zone! Live music! Fun time!

No food…yet. But fantastic service and the view and ambiance is exactly what you want from a coastal bar. Plenty of dockage too. A must to visit by boat or land. Dog friendly too.

Come see the amazing sunsets. This is a steel bar with a “Sponge Bob Square Pants” 3/4 boat inside that is the bar. Alix, the bartender, worked in the Caribbean for many years and can make you a a great drink. Stop by and enjoy watching the boats go by without. Open Friday through Sunday 12-9 until Memorial Day then they will be open 6 days a week.. closed Tuesdays.

Floating on the beautiful intercostal waterway at the Carolina Beach Yacht Club and Marina, this laid-back bar is accessible by sea or by land and has the best sunset views on the island! Full bar serving liquor, beer, seltzers, wine and champagne Super dog friendly!

I am a local of Carolina Beach and have been going to the Barge CB since it opened. I love the atmosphere and have nothing bad to say about it until today. I took my brother there for the first time and purchased 4 Pacifico’s on Debit card. I have worked in the service industry and know to tip and treat my servers and bartenders with respect.
Well I closed out and paid $16 for four Pacificos. The woman who I have seen several times there closed me out super nice. I left a $4 tip. Well the guy who was bartending charged my brother $5 per beer with cash. He said it was not enough and gave my brother an attitude. He then said it was $5.50 per beer. So my brother left $15 and said keep the change.
I asked the lady bartender and I showed her my receipt. She said there must be a mistake but then the guy came back over and was very defensive and rude. I asked for a cash receipt for my brother and they would not give it to me.
This was a true old fashion game of scam the bar and the customer thinking he is a tourist and won’t notice. I have been a local of CB for 30 plus years. The guy bar tender with ash gray hair and a beard was definitely scamming people with cash. I will def spread the word on his con ways. The woman bartender was super nice the whole time. The guy made her do the confronting. He never walked back up to talk to me. I cleaned my area and brought the empty cans back to the bar.
Train your bartenders to be kind and trust worthy.
