I’ve had this place on my must try for a while. Honestly, super disappointed. Service was great and so was the cheese empanadas, but that’s where it ended. Both my meal and my husband’s meal, were one dimensional and lacked variety of flavor. Not to mention both of our chicken (mine was shredded and his was whole) were so dry. I choked on a couple of peices after trying to soak them in the dip provided for the empanadas. After a few bites my husband didn’t even want to finish. Of course the waitress was super nice so I didn’t have the heart to tell her how disappointed we were. I think the kitchen needs to look into making sure items are cooked well. And if reheating things (this was obvious for our meals) to make sure they keep their moisture and flavor. Plus, cook the fries a bit longer.

¡Comida increíble! I’d never been to a Colombian restaurant before, and I was excited to try something new! I definitely wasn’t disappointed. I ate on 9/6 (sorry for the delay ) so I am forgetting what I got, but it was delicious! And my server Luis was on point. Atmosphere has 4 stars because I think some of the other guests were surprised to see a blanco eat there

A sizable group of us had an excellent lunch. Everything was well prepared and delicious. The cheese empanadas were delicious. I rate the sancocho stew as 5 stars, my wife thought the ajiaco stew, although very good, needs a bit of improvement. Staff was welcoming and attentive.
Having been in Colombia over 20 times, we’ve had some experience with their cuisine. These folks do a very good job.

I’ve been meaning to try this place, for some time. I am so happy I finally got the chance today. I ordered the Ajiaco. My first thought was comfort food with so many complex flavors. It was a perfect blend of texture and taste. Just the right note for a cold rainy Pacific Northwest day. I can’t wait to come back and try another dish.

Came here to try it out. Its mid. Prices too high for mid food (20/person). We won’t come again but glad to support a neighborhood restaurant at least once.
I got chicken guisado. Some how the potatoes and plantain was dry even though they look stewed. Chicken was moist but not super flavorful.
My lunch guest had the chicken and rice. Chicken was dry like it had been pre-made and sitting there. He ended up picking out the chicken because too tough and stringy. It came with a lot of French fries which may be a cultural thing for Columbia? Weird to see so much carb with carbs. When ordered I thought itd be lile a quarter chicken with seasoned rice underneath.
Server was nice. Interior was nice.
Personally ill be going back to el riconsito which is just regular Mexican food. Maybe is Columbian food holds a special place in your heart then you’ll like this place more than me.

My wife wanted Colombian food, so we found this place because it had decent reviews. The place is on a little scetchier part of Washington. But we felt safe enough to eat there. The food was OK. Nothing to write home about. But it got the Colombian food urge out of the way. My plate was not that great. I ordered the tostone with chicken on top. My wife enjoyed her meal. So it’s a mixed review on this one.

Nice atmosphere and good service. The food was well seasoned, but all the meat was pretty dry. Feels like they may have prepared it batches and been hot holding it. I really loved the Columbian coffee.

Delicious! The staff was friendly, the food was tasty and quick, and the restaurant was clean! The portions were also super big! Huge portions and could totally be split between people. Definitely good value for the price. Not sure which plates exactly, but all super good and authentic!
Update: We’ve gone back several times. They’re always the sweetest. The Patacon Pisao Especial is to DIE for. SOO good! Also I always recommend their chicken (the Pechuga Asada) and I missed a pic of the flan de cafe, but also amazing.
