This is a vending machine. This particular one resides within the Susan Barney Atrium restaurant at Northshore Glenbrook hospital. The Atruim restaurant is only open from 6:30 to 3:30 Monday through Friday. The Farmers Fridge is open 24/7. Well assuming you have access to get in the building. There is a nice selection. They say that for every meal you buy a meal is donated. See my pictures for the selection of items to choose from. I bought the Pesto Pasta bowl. It really tastes good. So if you are at the hospital, have a taste for salad, check them out.
One thing, the plates and utensils are one a side of the machine that faces the wall. If I hadn’t looked I wouldn’t have found them.
