Tried Malone’s Hamburg for the first time and it lived up to the hype. I ordered the Manhattan Strip with shrimp—the steak was incredibly flavorful and juicy, and the shrimp was seasoned perfectly to complement the meat. The fries were nice and crispy, and that all-you-can-eat Lexintonian salad was amazing. Definitely a 5-star experience for my first visit!

The best steak I’ve ever had. I got the crab rangoon sushi and my friend got the petite filet – I had a bite of his, and it was truly like butter. The sushi was amazing, don’t get me wrong, but the steak was truly something else. The Lexingtonian salad was also incredible. The drink I had was called the Kentucky Girl or something like that, and it was tart and refreshing. I would definitely come back!

I visited for happy hour and had a nice time!! The happy hour deal was half off all glasses Of wine, which is a great deal, as well as some other deals. They also had a few sushi rolls and other food deals for happy hour. I ordered the two sushi rolls on happy hour – the Midori roll and the Crab Rangoon roll — And I enjoyed them both. It’s a good deal because one is a fried roll with cream cheese and the Midori roll is a bit more traditional sushi, so you get a bit of both.

I was most excited for the Chef’s featured Beef and Potato stew. However, it was fine but not anything great. It felt like they threw all of the pieces of beef that had a ton of fat on them into that soup. The beef either made me gag and spit out the fat (sorry for the TMI but I want to make sure to include that for my friends who get really bothered by that texture), Or just try to think about something else and swallow it. The flavor of the broth was good, though, and the potato, and it was really yummy! I don’t know if they throw bad cuts of beef into that soup because they think people won’t notice but it was pretty disappointing.

The service at the bar was really great, and my bartender, Davaun, kept me well taken care of and was very friendly and helpful. I tried the Kentucky Lady cocktail, which was good!!

The Happy Hour is definitely a great deal and I highly recommend stopping by in that time frame, especially if you like wine.

Most tender filet I’ve ever had and I’ve eaten at many fine restaurants. 12 oz bone in filet w Bleu cheese roasted on top, potato croquets, Lexingtonian “side salad” was huge and vanilla bean cheesecake was tasty. See pix and videos, and bring a credit card w space on it bc you’ll pay for it.

Malone’s at Hamburg continues to prove why it’s one of Lexington’s best dining spots. Even on a packed Friday night, the service was impressively smooth. We were running a little behind for our reservation, and the front-of-house staff stayed in constant communication, keeping us updated and never making us feel rushed or out of place. That alone set the tone for the night.

The food sealed the deal. Both the sirloin and filet were cooked perfectly—tender, flavorful, and exactly at temperature. The kitchen was clearly on its game even during peak hours. The Cajun Alfredo was another standout: rich, creamy, and carrying just the right kick without overwhelming the dish.

We also tried the sushi-style crab rangoon appetizer, which turned out to be a clever and delicious twist on the classic. Instead of the usual little folded pastry, this version was more cohesive, balanced, and shareable—easily one of the most memorable bites of the night.

Malone’s at Hamburg delivers exactly what you expect from a top-tier local restaurant: excellent service, consistent execution, and food that makes the price point feel justified.

My husband and I went for dinner today, and it exceeded our expectations! We called on the way , and made reservations, so as soon as we got there we were taken straight to our table. Our waitress Caileigh was very friendly , and prompt. We had the spinach dip for an appetizer, i had the French Quarter Alfredo with a Lexingtonian Salad, and my husband had the hand breaded chicken tenders, with a baked potato , and ceasar salad. We had no complaints about anything we ate! Everything was delicious.

Well priced steak and a good ambiance.

The filet medium rare 12 oz is just a solid, consistently well made piece of meat. The sides that come with the steak are decent and the Lexingtonian salad is a a great touch.

The service can be hit or miss, but everyone is super nice and it is quite busy in there always so I get it.

Well suited for big business dinners as well as the single bar seating. The place is huge

Malone’s is our very favorite! Hamburg location especially! Our server, Quentin, was one of the best servers I’ve had in a very long time. Top notch! He was very friendly, made great food & beverage recommendations, and we never went without anything we needed or wanted! We were celebrating our 7th anniversary & we received a card and a complimentary dessert. We decided on the cheesecake & it was delicious! I couldn’t possibly say enough good things about Malone’s, their staff, & the food!

As soon as I walked in, the hostess was very friendly and welcoming. She asked if we wanted to be seated right away, and I explained that we were waiting for the rest of our party since the host hadn’t arrived yet. I did ask for a menu, but there appeared to be four or five different menus, which was confusing and not clearly explained at the door.
Once our host arrived, we were seated. For anyone wondering about the atmosphere—it’s casual and relaxed.
Our server, Kelly (if I’m remembering her name correctly), was wonderful. She was attentive, friendly, and professional throughout the meal. She brought out our Smoked Chestnut Old Fashioned, along with the appetizers: spinach artichoke dip and carpaccio. Everything was delicious, and the cocktail was smooth, aromatic, and nicely balanced with a smoky finish. The bread service was also a nice touch.
For my entrée, I ordered the 5 oz steak with crab and elote. The steak itself was cooked perfectly—right on temperature, tender, and flavorful. The elote was served separately in a white bowl, as shown in the photo, and was enjoyable on its own. What I didn’t understand was the “crab” component, which turned out to be a deep-fried sushi roll. That pairing alongside a steak felt unexpected, and the overall plate composition and presentation didn’t quite come together for me.
That said, this may simply be a difference in perspective. I personally place a strong emphasis on plate presentation and cohesion, and Malone’s may focus more on comfort and execution than visual refinement.
Overall: Excellent service, a great cocktail, and a perfectly cooked steak. While the rest of the plate wasn’t what I expected, the experience was still enjoyable.
