Whoa… What to say… Don’t know if this was an OFF night, but for this experience, I have few positives. I like to start with these tho: the server was pleasant, and there seemed to be several local customers supporting this restaurant.
The negatives…stick with me…
We waited about 10+ minutes just to get a menu. After some time, we gave our drink and food order. A little time later, the server asked to take our order… no, not a repeat sentence. We had to tell them that they had already taken our order. SO — ordered sweet tea, but got unsweetened tea. When finally had the chance to tell the server, they were willing to replace, but this never happened. The server brought our appetizer but no utensils. (Don’t these usually come with the menus?)
There were open butter packets sitting on the table from ?…
Ordered fries with the sandwich and asked for ketchup — no ketchup ever came, but no worry, as the fries were over-fried and dried out — ketchup would not have helped. The rest of the food was so-so, the best I can say. Then, the ‘icing on the cake’, a fly landed in the one drink we ended up sharing — a glass of water. Many of the booths had deep tears in the seat covering with springs showing…sit at your own risk. This could be a cool place, but owners have a load to do!

The food was great, service was awesome and we will return. Especially for the chipped beef gravy on biscuits with most excellent home fries. A little hard to find but definitely worth it!

Lovely people own this and are not afraid of hard work in the kitchen! Getting in at 4am to bake biscuits and prepare peach compote!! Delicious Delicious Delicious They claim pancakes are as big as your face, but NO!!! They’re as big as hefty hubcaps at this Filling station!! Roz owner/baker/cook is awesome and friendly and in the know about the area around her and suggested places to explore while we were in town. It’s a tiny hole in the wall, with huge yummy eats!!! Thank you guys!!!

Holy Caca! This is a got to go out of your way to stop and eat.
The homemade food is incredible. The homemade dessert is amazing. Thank you Amber for reading my mind about the Breakfast Bowl !
The gravy and biscuits were phenomenal. The owner does the cooking, and I wanted to know if they had a full blown chef behind the grill?
The friendly service and conversation made us feel like family. Prices are very reasonable. Coffee is great.
Look for the large green $ next door. It’s connected to the Ability Really office on the corner. I drove by it several times, glad I turned around.

I ate here for the first time. Best onion rings EVER! Make sure to ask for the homemade honey mustard sauce to dip them in.

If you’re looking for great food at a reasonable price, with wonderful service, this is a great little spot. We did sit in a booth that had ripped seats, but the waitress did warn us (you seat yourself). We didn’t mind that, but I didn’t notice the other seats torn. We had breakfast.. chipped beef gravy over toast, sausage gravy over homemade biscuits, home fries, coffee, sweet tea, and water. Everything was “scratch made” and it was delicious! We will be back the next time we travel into the area!!

Fantastic breakfast joint. Breakfast bowl was filling and had a delicious cheese sauce. Don’t pass it up, sign is easy to miss. So much better than the chain options around it. Classic American breakfast staple!

Best value in town for a sit down restaurant. Eggs, bacon, ham, and pancakes at 10 dollars is a good price. I love how they fold the scrambled eggs, and the pancakes were delicious.

Dinner is also delicious, I would recommend the chicken sandwich.

The service is pleasant, and in a way, just feels so genuine.

5 stars.

Edit: Still good value, but I recently went here after I had posted this review, and got the Pop’s Special Sandwich. Not only did it taste subpar, it also made my stomach quite upset afterwards. Still, breakfast is very worth it.

4 Stars.

Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday. Friendly service, and good food! They were not busy but it was picking up before we left. We could tell from the banter between some diners and server that they have some regulars! Interior is clean, but a little old looking with the orange vinyl booths so if you’re looking for somewhere fancy, this is not it. If you want tasty food, go on in!
