Amazing! Reviews for this place were spot on. I cannot fault a thing. I had the rump steak, which melted like butter in my mouth. The Creme Brulee was a show stopper when the Grand Marnier was set a light. By far the best I’ve tasted.

Fantastic food and service! Right on the main walking route which is typically a tourist trap, but not this one. The Moulles (mussels) were of outstanding quality and cooked superbly in a blend of herbs. The Grilled Pulpo salad was beautifully done as well. The vanilla ice cream (which Brittany appears to excel at) and espresso were a great way to complete the meal. They’re open through the afternoon as well. Highly recommend

Great service and the mussels were excellent.
I could have gone without hearing the gossiping from the owner, but definitely not a deal breaker. I highly recommend it

I wasn’t sure about this restaurant in such a tourist place and area. We were not disappointed. The food was very good. The muscles were fantastic, and the staff prepared beef tartare at our table to our liking, so it was like lunch and a show. The atmosphere was pleasant on this main street and the service was accommodating. Next time in Saint-Malo we will go here just for the tartare.

Even on a cold, very wet winter day, this restaurant is busy and exceeds expectations! I had rump steak with garlic butter. It came with fries, salad, pate and crackers as an appetizer, and the most delicious bread which was even better dipped in the garlic butter sauce from the steak. The waiters are very friendly and move as fast as possible to accommodate all. I stumbled upon this and I am so grateful! Absolutely delicious, Reasonably priced and a lot of food!

We had been recommended to book dinner while visiting Malo, and it did not disappoint. The menu is rich, with a great wine list to match. We chose meat for the main course, each dish cooked to perfection, and paired it with a good Bordeaux wine. The dessert menu is sure to spark anyone’s imagination — from the Scandaleuse Macaron to the Éclair 19 cm de bonheur. A perfect evening to end a memorable holiday!

Beautiful looking restaurant but food not that good. We have seen very good comments about food so don’t understand why people say so. It is a historic place place so usually crowded maybe this is why food is rushed? The best thing we ate was mussels but they were quite small. The homemade potato cips was very smelly like something else was cooked in the same oil and not tasty at all. The fish with cream was full of potato instead of fish but not delicious. Despite the taste of food, service was pretty quick and servers were very nice and kind. Try the restaurants out of old city there are very good ones in Sillon plage.

In my opinion the food was good, but not amazing. Also for me it felt a bit over priced as it’s in the middle of the tourist area. We had one super nice waitress, but suddenly she was gone and all the rest of the stuff almost ignored us completely ( as we weren’t in “their area” or any other reason).
Had nicer experiences both food wise and service wise in this area.

The best of the best in Saint-Malo! The truffle Saint-Jacques risotto was absolutely incredible — you can really taste the truffle. The rumsteak was perfectly tender, and the truffle egg starter was unbelievably good. The salted caramel crêpe for dessert was also one of the best we’ve ever had.

Fast service, kind and professional staff, pet-friendly — and absolutely worth the money. They deliver both quality and care. 5 stars, no doubt!
