I tend to like my food with “less” seasoning and the burger was exactly as I like it: hand-pattied, seasonings blended in and not overpowering. The fries were nice and crispy. My husband enjoyed the hush puppies with shrimp dip. Service was casual but attentive. The blond young lady, whose name I didn’t catch, was very sweet. It’s a small place and everyone spoke to us.
We saw a couple pull up to the dock and walk to the restaurant, so if you’re boating in the Plum Branch area, this one might be for you.
If critiques had to be given, it’d be that the cream-cheese based dip was very thick so the pairing with the hush puppies wasn’t quite successful. Also, the noise/music from the rented pavilion next door + the oldies music at the restaurant + the football game made for a lot of competing noise; not overwhelming, just maybe be aware that it’s possible. Also, the tipping options at the register weren’t great – the max was 20% which was only $6. We’d have liked the option to leave a custom amount, maybe not based on a %. Unfortunately, this did cost the server part of the intended tip because we don’t carry cash.
Overall, a recommend and will likely return.
