As an upstate NY girl, this place is an experience!!! The southern hospitality and flavors are amazing. After a difficult day, the team members at this amazing restaurant took care of us in the best ways possible. This turned frowns upside down. Portions are generous and flavors are to write home about – crawfish (in season that are fresh), a shrimp tossed salad with at least a dozen shrimp, and honest to goodness homemade onion rings..

Clean friendly. Little short staffed. Expectations were high. Love my Carolina seafood. So excited to try New Orleans seafood. Fried shrimp and catfish with coleslaw. Batter was similar to KFC style crunchy thickness. Not like tempura batter style. Catfish was tender and hot, heavy fish taste. Coleslaw had much more Mayo than I expected, almost like banana pudding texture. It wasn’t bad, but I didnt get the urge to celebrate. The Mrs. Had jambalaya she loved it. It was good.

Being born and raised here in New Orleans area I absolutely love crawfish! It’s the first Friday of lent. UNFORTUNATELY Harbors boiled crawfish were HORRIBLE! Over boiled, mushy and not great tasting. We were offered to try again, they took both trays and returned with 2 more trays. The second trays were straight out the fridge. Ice cold. Still not good, the yellow fat which is typically a “solid” looked like runny eggs. Nothing about the crawfish was appealing whatsoever. They insisted on getting us each 3lbs from the Market next door. We said fine and got them to go. Our waitress was great and the service as well. DON’T GO FOR BOILED CRAWFISH!

This traditional Louisiana-style seafood restaurant keeps it simple but delivers solid seafood.

I sat at the bar, where service was quick and friendly.

The lunch special—two softshell crabs, onion rings, and bread—was a steal at around $15.(No longer the case , 2025 it’s $24 now).

With plenty of seating and a convenient location just off the main road, about 10 minutes from the airport, it’s an easy-to-find spot for a satisfying meal.

Most items were fried but there are some that wasn’t that I have yet tried.

Harbor Seafood never disappoints. The raw oysters were excellent — especially for this time of year. Fresh, cold, and full of flavor. Great size as well.

It’s also one of those rare places where you instantly feel at home. The atmosphere is comfortable, the staff is friendly, and it just has that old-school Louisiana charm that’s getting harder to find these days.

If you’re craving oysters or just want a laid-back spot with great seafood, Harbor Seafood is always a solid choice.

I had ordered Togo when I was in town. I always crave crab fingers and theirs was delish. Very straightforward no frills. I had ordered it to be blackened and they packed a lot of sauces for me. However, I am quite disappointed in the oysters bc I never got it! I ordered 1/2 dozen charbroiled but never received it but was charged. But the crab fingers were really good. No fishiness or anything and super meaty. Would definitely come back whenever I make the trip back.

The waitress was nice, but I had to really try to get her attention a couple of times to get certain things. The calamari was ok. The blackened catfish was “meh”. The fried Cajun potatoes were pretty bland. I didn’t even touch the bread after feeling it. The corn was surprisingly spicy, but in a good way. That was the only thing I actually finished. Probably won’t go back, but everything new is an experience.

We brought some out of town visitors who wanted New Orleans seafood and we were all blown away with our meals. Our server Zane gave me a good reccomendation as well.
No complaints about food, service or atmosphere. Its crazy that we’ve driven past this place for years and never tried it.

I can’t complain about anything except the lack of attention to my water glass. Food was flavorful and the light breading allowed the flavor of the Grilled oysters to come through extremely well. Their oysters are every bit as good as all the reviews claim; just short of amazing!

The food was great! We had Gumbo, corn chowder, shared a seafood combo platter with snow crab and wrapped it with the bread pudding. The food was delicious, promptly served, hot which I love and appreciate and the service from a caring server made it memorable. We will be back on our next visit to NOLA.
