I’ve gone to this cafe a couple of times before leaving this review so I want to make it very clear that I have always enjoyed the food and coffee here. The price is standard for what you are getting at chain restaurants, but Free Range have always made it clear that everything is local and is made in mind of the customers health and for the community. The drinks have always been good here too. The soft launch of the new menu was a nice surprise when I came in with my partner, as the last time I ordered food here was after MLK week. The wraps look smaller, but are still very hefty and filling. I’m saying all this positive stuff because it looks like the owners are very active when it comes to answering reviews with kind of a weird energy, and I have no interest in getting hit with it.
I want to be honest here, the thing that is making me not want to give a 5 star review is the AI generated images. They have it on their merch with an AI bear and the coloring pages are AI generated. Their Facebook page has AI generated posts and images. For a cafe that once seemed so concerned about the health of the community and the environment with its compostable containers it seems rather like a front if you want to use AI. AI has plenty of evidence of HARMING low income communities and the environment. Is it free to use? Sure. But if this cafe wants to virtue signal being good then maybe they could, I don’t know, use art made by humans or by people in the community they claim to care about. The point of my review isn’t to bash anyone or the owners, but as someone who has enjoyed coming here for a couple years I want to share some constructive criticism. I’m glad this place didn’t shut down as the owners seem to point out in negative reviews, and I hope Free Range can continue to be a place that provides quality food.

It is a chill spot with great music choices to mellow the vibe. The food is delicious and makes you feel good eating it. The people are hardworking and friendly. I love the PB&J smoothie bowl and the honeycomb latte. Get there early – they recently tightened up the menu which has really increased traffic – they are deservedly very popular! Love it!

I have only been here a hand full of times but my Dragon smoothie and breakfast bowl really hit the spot when I was in a rush back to work and needed healthy sustenance! Thank you for your kindness l, service and delicious food!

Very busy in here today! They are rolling out a new menu which looks delicious. All the staff is extremely kind. As customers, we need to please remember to give our local small businesses GRACE when they’re trying to put their best foot forward, improve, and expand. I really like their coffee and food! This was my first time coming here and I am happy to say that I was absolutely blown away! I got the Salmon Bagel (Lox Bagel), and my partner got the Nutella Bagel. We were both drooling over them once we got them. The bagels themselves were incredible, they were so crispy and crunchy on the outside but the inside was so light and fluffy. As a premium bagel enthusiast, this has been one of my favorites.
We also got the Iced Moroccan Latte and Honey Latte. The only complaint I have is the size, I wish that the “Large” was larger, as it feels more like a small. But wow! The coffee was delicious. The espresso beans were fresh, which you could tell from the smell. I would overall rate this place a 9/10!!!

Super family friendly with a healthy tasty treats! Coffee is good, and food is different but fun and tasteful!
They have vegan options and regular protein options! They also have a drive through and outdoor seating. Hours are odd but if you can make it when they are open totally worth the visit.

Free Range has the best smoothie bowls around among other items. The shop is so warm and inviting. They have plenty of seating inside and some outside, too. Free Range offers online ordering. Making for a seamless pickup at their drive-thru window. They offer monthly specialty bowls. This month is the Superfood Strawberry Dreamsicle. We got that as a smoothie bowl and a smoothie. It was absolutely delicious. We ordered the PB Power Oats. They are so good and filling. If you are looking for fresh and real food, this place is on point.

I’ve been to this cafe many times now, but the customer service has gotten so bad I won’t go anymore. I know the staff is young, but the last two times I’ve been here the staff just ignored me for over 10 minutes while I waited to order at the front. No greeting, no ‘one moment’, no glance up, no response to my greeting. Just really bizarre and unprofessional behavior. It’s happened several times with weeks in between, so I’m not sure what’s going on. Food is just ok, coffees great, service is rough. I’d definitely avoid.
