Luigi and Adreanna Gerardi emigrated here from Naples in 1956. In 1960 they opened a pizzeria in Somerville, and one night in 1977 Luigi stumbled upon La Rosa’s Pizzeria. Luigi, along with his nephew, Carmen Troia, purchased the restaurant in January of 1978. In 1993, Luigi’s daughter, Filomena Inghilterra, began managing the family eatery. In November of 1998, Luigi’s other daughter, Olympia Keane, came on board and has been managing La Rosa’s ever since. The entire La Rosa’s family would like to thank you for your years of loyal patronage. We truly appreciate your trust and loyalty! We will continue to do our best to provide your family with the service you expect. Here’s to many more years of family friendly Pizza and Italian food!

Friendly waitress, clean atmosphere and excellent service. They were genuinely concerned with my Gluten Free questions and showed me a menu that has GF entrees. They checked with the kitchen and informed them of my allergy. Food was delicious, I can taste lots of fresh garlic in my chicken pasta. Definitely would come back!

There was a bug in our salad. We called for a refund since we didn’t want to look at the food after this experience. They refunded us 6 dollars. That’s terrible customer service, I will not be recommending anyone eat here.

So my fiancé and I decided to do a little pizza tour of places in the area. Second place on the list was La Rosa’s Pizza Metuchen. We ordered a plain and a pepperoni slice for us both to try and eat. So we personally thought the slices were a little under done. I felt like a few more minutes in the oven and these both would have been so so good. Definitely want to come back and ask for the pizza well done, excited to try it again.

Was 5 stars up until a few weeks ago. Service is average. Pizza used to be really good, but has fallen off in quality big time. Not sure if they’re cutting costs with sub par ingredients or if they have a new guy making the pies. Hope it improves, this was my go to place for pizza in the area.

I really wanted to try this place because it had good ratings and it is close to my home. But, unfortunately they do not seem like they want to take specific slice orders and the guy just told me whatever is there that’s all they have and didn’t bother to tell me what slices they were and just waited for me to either pick something or leave (there were no name tag on the slice dishes either) as if I was shopping at a retail store…I am disappointed with how they approached me and the service. I won’t be coming back here. I will go elsewhere for pizza.

The food in this restaurant is tasteless. Hospital food has more taste and it’s like they don’t season their food. I don’t want to be cruel to the people I know everybody’s in business and they don’t need a bad review but we have to be honest somebody has to put them on alert that their chef or whoever it is doesn’t season their food with anything but good wishes.

It was good I used to live in Metuchen 42 years ago and LaRosa Pizza was just a little place now they built it up a little bit still has the same owner it was nice to be back in the old neighborhood & the pizza was good, check this out the even have a Italian hot dog slice that must be interesting

What’s going on at our long time fav LaRosa? Last week my husband got his usual, Chicken Parm for dine in and the chicken was paper thin (more breading than chicken). We thought, no big deal – it happens. Just picked his chicken Parm for take out and the same thing! We could barely see the chicken let alone taste it. Are you under new ownership?

Why would you ever sell a pizza with soup on top? The vodka chicken was so oily and so saturated with basically a vodka sauce soup it was inedible. We threw it away into the garbage. I work in NYC and LI. Worst pizza I have ever had in my entire life. Disgusting!
