Cool place we stumbled on. There was a minimal wait but they took us without reservations. You can tell they care about their product. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Food was full of flavor. My husband had shepherds pie. Mashed potatoes were smooth. Nice layer of cheese on top. It was a good mix of everything. My stepson had beef weck. It was served with fries and spicy horseradish. Meat was juicy. He enjoyed the bun that had a salt mixture on top of it. My dad had a kielbasa rueben with fries. It was well made. Everything tasted homemade including the kielbasa. I had 2 potato and cheese perogies with a side of green beans. They were fresh and amazing. The peorgies taste just like my grandmother’s. FYI looks like you are pulling up to someone’s house and parking in their driveway.

We don’t get there as often as I’d like, but when we do the food is always delicious, service is fantastic, and the noise level is a perfect mix of energy & ability to talk with everyone in my party.

I’ve only made reservations once, but I do recommend if it’s during peak hours. Our waits have been minimal when we don’t have them.

We get the pierogis every time and they are huge and delicious. The kids like the loaded tots and we sometimes get the pretzels with cheese & mustard. I always get the soup and lately it has been French onion that I’ve enjoyed. You can’t go wrong with any of the specials or regular menu items. I’ve never had a bad meal there. They have a good sized kids menu there, too, so don’t be afraid to bring the kiddos.

We did not go to the patio so I can’t comment on that. The crispy chicken sandwich was dissapointingly over cooked. The chicken was dry, the outside had burn spots, and the aoli was put on the bottom bun which made it soggy and impossible to pick up with your hands. The crispy pasta was a pleasant surprise. Butter soaked noodles crisped up. Yummy.
I read all the reviews which is what made me want to go here. Maybe my expectations were too high. I’ll go again and will try different menu items that will hopefully bump my score up!

6 retired nurses who all worked together met for lunch and we had a wonderful time! Food, atmosphere, service were more than expected! Wide variety of choices and prices are average with these days. I tried something new and different. I was not disappointed! Friends all enjoyed their food, some had the specials of the day. Homemade soups, noodles were excellent! It was a cool afternoon so we sat inside. There is a beautiful outside area in the back with a huge fire pit. Leaving, I explored back there and the sun had come out and two ladies were enjoying sitting in the sun with wine and appetizers. They said it was lovyin the sun. Plenty of parking and friendly staff! Thank for such a nice experience for our time together! Didn’t take pictures – having too much fun! Reservations are a good idea. They put us at a round table, which was perfect!

Fish fry was why we came. Fish was good, batter was crispy, tho very thin. Our biggest issue was the size … very small and we all got the full fish fry. French fries were good, Mac salad, coleslaw, and German potato salad all were bland.

Service was clinical

Atmosphere was rustic, which we liked tho the acoustics were rough… good thing there weren’t a lot of people when we were there

Went on a Friday during lent. The place was full we had to wait about 15 minutes for a table even though we had reservations but that is ok. I had the pork chop which was tasty. The peanut butter pie dessert was a generous serving. A little loud with all the patrons talking but again it was a Friday night. Overall was a good first time experience. Staff very friendly and plenty of parking

I had a delicious broiled Cajun haddock last Friday for Lent. Along with Sweet potato fries and 1/2 rye bread and butter. I declined the other side dishes because I don’t eat a lot .

Servers are overworked. Place went from a tavern to trying to be an upscale restaurant. All soups especially French onion have way too much salt. They are touching on the very unhealthy side of too much salt. People can put their own salt in their soup. Drink menus doesn’t have prices because they are going up always. From a bar cool place to eat to try to be an upscale restaurant ale restaurant. It’s lost its way.
