We started with the Boom Grouper Bites and they were incredible: crispy on the outside, tender and flaky inside, with just the right seasoning. Such a tasty appetizer that had us excited for the mains.
For my entrée, I went with the Reef and Beef which is a 4oz lobster tail and a 4oz filet. Everything was cooked beautifully, flavorful, and generous portions. My wife had the shrimp and lobster tail, which she raved about.
The food felt super fresh, prices were reasonable for the quality, and the whole experience was just enjoyable. If you’re craving great seafood in Cape Coral, Twisted Lobster is a must-try. We’ll be back next time we’re in town!
Update , my phone is on fire with 20,290 views. This place is a go to establishment!
The service was great which really made the entire experience even better….. Thanks Emily for the great service and extra High Five!!!!!
We ordered the lobster bisque, clam chowder, ribeyes, lobster tails, scallops, and we had to take the pineapple upside down cake to go because we were STUFFED!
The food was SOOOO flavorful. Their clam chowder was the BEST I have EVER had! I ate it so fast I forgot to snap a picture. Ooops!
My mom said their bacon brussel sprouts were the best she has had as well. The lobster and steak was seasoned PERFECTLY! And the portions were big!
Thabk you for such a wonderful meal. Our family appreciates your hospitality! ✨️
We’ve gone back several more times and want to share more about them. Clam Poutine Fries from the appetizers ($15.99). Spectacular! They top french fries with deep fried clam strips, then top that with clam chowder and bacon bits. Lightly battered meaty clam strips with a nice clam flavor. No shortage of clams in the chowder. And bacon bits add that little something extra. I ate this as a meal. Shuck Club members can enjoy the Twin Tail Special on Wednesdays ($18.99). Two four ounce lobster tails were joined by a flavorful cole slaw and corn on the cob. My wife is a lobster fiend and loves this dish. Great tasting lobstah! Thursdays offer several Trio Specials ($15.99) for Shuck Clubbers. I had the Full Rack N Shrimp with Fries and Slaw. So the rib rack is not the huge rack the length of a cookie sheet pan that we all know. This is dinner plate size rack. Maybe a small pig? Great flavor and tender. 5 nice size skewered shrimp sit atop fries and are joined with slaw. Shrimp can be prepared several ways – I chose blackened. An excellent meal. My wife had the Shrimp and Lobster Trio Thursday Special. A small lobster tail joined by 5 shrimp, skewered and grilled, atop fries and slaw. She loved it. We love this place!
A New England Clam Shack in Ft. Myers
We are fairly new full-timers in this area and have heard nothing but good things about this place so we gave it try yesterday. We expected to have a bit of wait when we arrived for dinner around 6:30, but when we got to their parking lot, just a few folks sitting outside and plenty of open parking. We went inside to put our name on the wait list and had a chance to look around. A surprisingly small place, just like many clam shacks we have visited in the New England area. A nautical theme decor with tall tables and chairs around the perimeter of the room and low tables and seating in the center. A raw bar sits on one side, but no seating there. Our hostess took our name, gave us a pager and we went outside to wait. There’s a small seating area at the front of the building that is shielded from Del Prado by some palms. There are tables with umbrellas and chairs for those that might want to dine outside, and a bar. Several beers on tap, bottled beers and wine. I don’t think they have cocktails. I had a 16 oz. Yuengling tap ($5.00) and we took a seat. Our pager went off just a few minutes later and we chose to sit inside as it was a very warm evening. Lindsey was our server and took our drink order right after we sat down – Iced Tea ($2.99). She was very polite and attentive and answered our questions and made sure we never ran out of drink. For starters we got the Whole Belly Clam appetizer ($16.99). They are legit! They are breaded lightly and fried fast. A great clam flavor, especially when biting into the belly where the flavor is fairly intense. Clam lovers like this. I had the Blackened Mahi Tacos ($14.99). Three flour tortillas, each with a base of a creamy cole slaw and a nice piece of Mahi with blackening seasoning and blackened just a bit, then topped with a mango salsa and cilantro. They were excellent. The seasoning was not spicy or salty and the fish was nice and moist. The center of the plate had a bowl of coconut jasmine rice. I am not a real rice person, but this was something else. I could, and did, eat a huge bowl of it! The rice had a light coconut flavor, just a little sweet and somewhat of a floral aroma. My wife had the Twin Tails entree ($27.99). This meal comes with two 4 ounce cold water lobster tails, mashed potatoes, lemon buttered broccoli and a cup of melted butter for dipping. The tails spent a little time under the broiler and were presented picture perfect setting on top of their shells. I could see my wife just melt with every bite of butter dipped lobstah. The mashed potatoes were ok and the broccoli was great – not the usual steamed and plated style. We saw so many great looking dishes delivered to other tables so I think this will become one of our go to places. There are great daily specials also so check them out.
The menu keeps things simple and does it well. Lobster is the main draw, especially the lobster rolls and tacos, which are packed with generous portions of tender meat. The flavors are clean and well balanced, letting the seafood speak for itself. There are also plenty of other options like shrimp, crab, and fish for anyone looking to mix it up.
Portion sizes are filling, and the sides—such as fries and slaw—are exactly what you’d expect from a casual seafood place. Nothing overcomplicated, just familiar and satisfying.
Service is friendly and efficient, with staff who are easygoing and helpful without being overbearing. Overall, Twisted Lobster delivers a dependable experience: good seafood, a no-pressure environment, and fair prices. If you’re looking for a relaxed spot in Cape Coral to enjoy lobster and other seafood without the frills, Twisted Lobster fits the bill perfectly.
