We came here to try the famous schiacciata, and it truly is the best I’ve ever had in Florence. The place has only a tiny seating area upstairs with four or five tables, but they’re always full, so it’s not really worth trying to sit down. Expect long queues — but the experience is absolutely worth it.

The prices are excellent, and the flavours are outstanding. The staff is also amazing to talk to, full of energy and charismatic.

Highly recommended for anyone wanting to taste real Florentine schiacciata.

I tried the Ipocrita and the Gulosa on two different days, and both were sensational. The prices are excellent, and the flavours are outstanding. I also ordered a glass of wine, and one of the staff kindly offered me a slice of delicious salami to go with it.

Once our order number was called, we walked to Piazza della Signoria, found a bench, and enjoyed what felt like a truly authentic Tuscan sandwich meal in the heart of Florence.

Highly recommended for anyone wanting to taste real Florentine schiacciata.

Delicious!! The bread is so thin and crispy so you can really taste the meats and toppings. Really liked the suicida cause the tomatoes really gave it a pop. The line was long even at 2pm on a Tuesday. Definitely worth it.

Delicious schiacciata sandwiches, there’s always a queue here as it’s popular on Instagram/ TikTok. The portions are generous and sandwiches fresh, albeit hard to eat without making a mess as the bread is very crispy.

There is a toilet inside and some seating space upstairs.

Very tasty and very good!!!
We had been hesitating between different spots nearby that served almost the same types of sandwiches but some of them are obviously famous because of social media and not very tasteful…
It was not the case in this place : the quality of the ingredients is there and the mix and taste perfect! Very good spot, just be ready for a little wait and to eat outside!

Very small place where you can eat local. We discovered this based on some recommendations and we stop by to try. The mixt of taste in each sandwich is just great and helps you better understand the local culture. The place is small and has a very small sitting at first floor.
Nice design and good products – if you can , stop by. Is close to Palazzo Vecchio.

Excellent sandwich shop! I originally came for I Fratellini across of it as it was highly recommended by so many locals, but it was closed, so I came here instead, and I don’t regret it. They have an excellent and expansive selection of sandwiches. The bread is amazing and the portions are sizable. Service is fast. I’m glad I found that spot! Highly recommend

You’ll hear people say that these sandwiches are better than All’Antico Vinaio. The breads are completely different so you can’t compare 1 to 1. This place uses a crunchier bread, so if you like soft foccacia this might not be for you.

Is it the best sandwich in the world? No, but it was still good.

We tried 3 different ones: Suicida, Accidiosa, and Golosa. They were all delicious but felt like they were missing something, maybe something acidic. The Suicida was nice since it haf a lighter fresher feel to it

Good food, the Boar special is not that great, simple boar salami and dried tomatoes. But the others looked great.
Got there quite early, short 5-10 minutes queue, but at midday, the queue is at least 100-200 persons
Anyway, highly approve

I went during lunch and waited 30 minutes in line – and I’d do it all over again.

The sandwich was hands down the best I’ve ever had: fresh ingredients, bold flavors, and perfectly balanced. This place is popular for a reason, and the wait only builds the anticipation.
If you’re in Florence and craving something unforgettable, I’ Girone De’ Ghiotti is a must.

Just be prepared to queue… and maybe plan your next visit before you even finish the first bite.
