Stopped in here for dinner with my brother and my mother a couple nights ago. We got sat immediately and the waiter was absolutely phenomenal. He was super attentive and we never went without drinks or anything else we needed. We ordered the queso for an appetizer and it was okay. It was VERY cheesy which is great, but it didn’t have a lot of flavor other than just melted cheese. So it didn’t really feel like a queso, more like a melted cheese bowl. I got the featured smoked flat iron steak quesadilla. It had the cheese and steak inside which was cooked well, but not super seasoned. It did not come with the salsa inside or outside. As you can see in the picture, it just came with the sour cream. Which honestly the sour cream was blended with spices or something because that was probably the most flavorful thing I had. My mother got the shrimp quesadilla and she said it was pretty bland too except for the Santa Fe sauce on top. Kinda wish the featured quesadilla came with that sauce lol. I think she got the pico I was supposed to get but Brother for the tostada and he enjoyed it and said it had pretty good flavor.

Love this little California-style Mexican restaurant. Unlike chains, they prepare all food fresh. You’ll never get any stale food that might have been sitting on the counter for ages. My favorite is the Mango Shrimp dinner. Those shrimps aren’t one of those minuscule ones, you get big ones If shrimps are your thing, I highly recommend it.

This place is a must try. The food & service is amazing. My waitress Zoey was great. Complimentary salsa says a lot about a Mexican restaurant. The salsa here is tasty and fresh. Closed on Sundays but open every other day. I am the only customer here right now so I have the entire place to myself. Hidden Gem if you ask me. Cali burrito with no fries add grilled shrimp for $3 up charge and chicken posole soup

I’ve never had a California Style Burrito before, and this was absolutely awesome! It’s stuffed so full that you will feel miserable in the best way after finishing the burrito. The dipping sauce it comes with is mindblowing as well. The soup is a nice change of pace from the burrito itself, and the chips and salsa were very good as well. Will be back for sure!

I would call this place a hidden gem for sure. Food was spot on, service was kind and patient and gave good recommendations even though he had 6 tables sit within 15 minutes. Impressed. Will return. Highly suggest to try it!! Pricing was great for the quality.

We have been wanting to check out this place for awhile now. I called before we went to see if they had any gluten free and vegan options and was told the their tacos and salads could be both, along with the guacamole and salsa.
I ordered the Mexican Salad without meat and cheese and added guacamole with the Baja Lime Dressing. It was absolutely delicious! The chips and guac and the house made margarita were pretty spot on also. Good pricing, good service and good atmosphere. Definitely worth a shot if you’re in the area.

OMG, so delicious! Our server Omar was amazing. So considerate and helpful! Their Salsa is the best we have ever had in Raleigh. We always buy extra to take home!!

Have always had pretty good experiences here. The tortilla soup is the best I’ve had anywhere. Other good ones are the plate-size quesadillas. Their smashed beans are great and the chips and salsa tasty too. The space isn’t much to write home about- but you’re there for the food. Service is hit or miss, but otherwise pretty reliable.

I’ve been here several times for lunch and dinner. Never disappointed. The food is fresh and delicious. It’s what I call “fancy Mexican” food because it goes beyond the basic taco or burrito — it is really flavorful and cooked to order. The menu is large and has a great variety. I think this place is a bit of a hidden gem because it’s never too busy, but it should be!
