We specialize in fresh, local seafood-including our famous lobster rolls and seafood chowder. Also house smoked ribs prepared daily on our outdoor smoker. It was getting colder because the sun was setting and we were all hungry. We walked around Alma and many of the restaurants with patios were unfortunately closed and we needed a patio because of our little mini schnauzer dog. My husband, on a hunch, decided to ask if Tides Restaurant could accommodate us with our dog even though a patio was nowhere to be seen. Well, not only did they welcome us warmly, we found out about their secret patio at the back of the restaurant that faces the Fundy.

We had a beautiful sunset view by the water while eating our hearty and delicious dinners. The chef even made a smashed burger patty for our little Millie! Everything was perfect, the sweet potatoe fries, crispy and crunchy with the perfect seasoning of sea salt. A generous lobster roll made with mostly tail meat on the softest roll with fresh slaw on the side.

Not only that the service was incredible and the ladies were so kind and thoughtful. We felt taken care of and genuinely appreciated. Thank you Tides Restaurant. We will be back again. ❤️❤️❤️

The mussels were cooked in a delicious broth. The chef special lobster fried rice with duck breast was the star of the show! Immense flavours. Great view of the Bay of Fundy. Super friendly staff.

Tides in Alma is a wonderful spot for dining for fresh seafood. The service is beyond description…the server was so sweet and helpful. The dining area is spacious and has a real homey feel. The food was delicious. I forgot to take pictures of the food since I was so taken aback by the Hummingbird feeders.

I had the special at Tides which was a fish dish with mussels, scallops, salmon and lobster tail. It was delicious and good value. The staff were friendly and attentive. The view from the dining room across the harbour is an added bonus.

Okay, we walk in met the chef.Just as a fluke… He tells us it’s the best chowder.I’ll make ya sure sure everybody says… Well, an hour later, we come back to have chowder.Well, I tell ya the man wasn’t wrong.It was incredible… Service was fantastic.People were fantastic like you cannot go wrong with this place.. We’re staying here.Also, we’ve got an ocean view at their hotel.If you come to alma, yeah, this is the place..

We ate here twice once for lunch and once for dinner. The food was fantastic both times. We ended up trying a good assortment of the menu crab cakes (these were delicious, good texture and the trio of sauces was a good mix) mozzarella sticks, these were large, hot, gooey and crispy,and the tomato sauce good. The smoked salmon pasta, chicken stuffed lobster, citrus salmon were all delicious everything hot and fresh. By far my favourite was the Fundy scallops(baked scallops, garlic butter, cheese, tomatoes, green onion)the taste and texture was amazing. Rice pilaf for a side was good well seasoned. Desserts were divine hummingbird cake, and peanut butter pie. Staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. View of the bay, the boats and the tides was great. Loved to watch the hummingbirds at the windows of the restaurants too. Nice presentation of food as well.

Lobster for lunch, fresh from Fundy Bay! And the crab cakes and seared scallops with blueberry salad that others ordered were exceptional as well. No shortage of oohs & aahs at the table as we enjoyed our seafood feasts.
The service was friendly and fast. Our waitress even took the time to show me how to get all the lobster meat out of its shell. Fun, delicious and a great time at Tides Restaurant in Alma New Brunswick. I’ll be back again soon!

Wow, what an experience. We had the pleasure of being served by Shanon. She was amazing. The service was impecable, the food was astounding. I cannot begin to explain our experience as I am at a loss for words but Tides restaurant is a must for tourists and New Brunswickers alike.

Room was very comfortable, clean with a fantastic view of the Harbour. Nice that you can open the windows/doors for fresh air on the balcony. The dining room over looked the Harbour as well and hummingbird feeders provide entertainment. Food and services at lunch and dinner were fabulous. The seafood with fresh pasta was spectacular I must have.
