Family owned and operated pizzeria, since 1987. We are the original Sal’s Pizza that, prior to 1987, was located in Charlottesville across from the fashion square mall. We offer a full menu that includes Italian entrees and pastas, a variety of subs with our freshly made pizza bread, hand tossed and pan style pizzas, burgers and more. We also have a full gluten free menu and are happy to accommodate any other food allergies. We all love seeing our dedicated local familiar faces and we welcome the new ones. We would love for you to come experience a lot of great food in the pizzeria that has been a local favorite for many years.

Generous portion sizes at great prices
A large calzone is sufficient for two adults
The margarita pizza is not a standard margarita pizza as it seems to have grated cheese in addition to sliced fresh mozzarella, as well as a generous amount of garlic. Still good, just not what I expected.

What a fantastic spot! I had some of the best pizza I’ve ever had here! The toppings were fresh and plentiful, the crust was tasty and perfectly toasty, and the sauce was full of flavor, well- seasoned, and added with perfect balance to the rest of the pizza. I’ve eaten a lot of pizza from coast to coast, and this is simply the best! As if that wasn’t enough, the staff was helpful, friendly, and provided excellent service. As an added bonus, we got to meet the family who had owned and operated Sal’s since it opened decades ago. We had great conversation where I learned about the history of the restaurant, the family, and many great stories about their experiences within the community. I entered the restaurant as a stranger, but left feeling like family. I couldn’t give a higher recommendation, based on the excellent food and service!

I love this spot! You can get slices. Whatever toppings you want that they have. The staff are amazing and the food is tasty without costing you too much money. But I can not stress enough that the folks who work there are incredible. I love it so much just for that.

In 2021 I was recommended Sal’s Pizza by a new friend in the area. She told me it’s the best pizza in Crozet! Well I do agree! A family-run business since 1987, you’ll be greeted with smiles & pizza that reminds me of my days in New York They even have the same brand of ovens you find in Brooklyn. The pizza is perfect every time I have visited – delicious! I have also tried other dishes of salads & the yummy eggplant parmigiana. So good! I notice as well that employees stay working at Sal’s Pizza as there’s a great pizza maker I always see and consistent helpful and friendly wait staff – testimony that this must be a good place to work where employees are treated well. I like what seems to be family photos that are cut and pasted to the wall. You can also make reservations and host parties here. Go!

Wonderful baked ziti and my husband enjoyed his pizza. I love the decoration with what appear to be family photos. Service was excellent, the food was hot (the ziti has steak coming off it for a while! ) And everything tasted great. Generous servings, I couldn’t eat all mine but will be happy to enjoy it for lunch tomorrow.

I usually get a double cheese burger and fries which has always been great.had a bad wait time once but can be expected at times but I like my pizza a Lil more crispier and it was a Lil to doughy and not enough crunch.but still good prices and great place to eat and will still recommend them.
