Luci Ancora is a small family-owned and locally sourced Italian restaurant in the Saint Paul Highland Park neighborhood. We focus on housemade pastas and serving high-quality dishes. Our housemade pasta is made with a special Heritage Wheat that is superior to other common stone-ground flours in that it does not cause issues for people who experience gluten-sensitivities. Our heritage wheat is supplied locally from Sunrise Flour Mill in North Branch, MN.

My girlfriend took me here for our first Vday together. If it wasn’t for our love our day would’ve ended in ruin!! We couldn’t help but feel slightly offended by being offered separate checks as we were the only, very obviously, lesbian couple. When asked if we had any questions or concerns regarding the menu we said “ yes! What vegetarian options do you offer?”
Specifically to the main course. All options were either red meat, shellfish, etc.
She told us that they crafted the menu with these things in mind. I asked, “could i get the side of bell pepper salad with no rack of lamb?” i was told they would not be able to accommodate. booo
whatever we ordered anyway
every course was literally so small like i know it’s a tasting, but seriously? $92 before tax + gratuity for maybe 20 bites??? we literally had to stop for food on the way home because we were hungryyyyyy!
and we thought the dessert was included.. NOT

Surprise!! That’s what we said on our first visit to the Restaurant. With 35 years of experience as a Chef I don’t often eat at Restaurants. Tonight we enjoyed a delightful Italian meal with salad and pasta. Coffee and dessert were a great finish to our meal. Give it a try!!

Stumbled upon this place by pure coincidence and we are so glad we did. The food was amazing and it’s a perfect spot for a date night or just grabbing a nicer dinner with friends. My date got the daily 4 course tasting meal and I got pasta and Caesar salad and every bite of food that we had was amazing. Our server was also so kind and funny!! We had a wonderful experience and will definitely be coming back.

Cocktails were very nice. We both enjoyed ours. Our service was also very pleasant. The food was nothing to write home about. Atmosphere was okay.

This is my boyfriend and I’s favorite restaurant. We love what they did, decor wise, with the space they have. We also have been here multiple times over the past year and a half and we’ve received the same incredible service and delicious food every single time. Every person who works here is so kind. My favorite things to order are the caesar salad and the mushroom fettuccine. I always get different desserts and appetizers and each one I try I love. This restaurant is the best, you definitely can’t skip this one!

My husband and I have driven past Luci Ancora many times and always thought we should go sometime. We finally went tonight and what a treat it was to dine there! Our server was amazing the entire time and made the evening that much more special. We devoured every morsel and drop that was put in front of us, enjoying every dish we chose! We highly recommend going, and we will definitely be back. PS the vanilla creme brulee was a revelation!
