This spot serves up the best true NY slice around. The dough consistency is perfectly crisp and chewey without any part of it being too hard—even the crust, which is easily bent while firmly holding together all of the toppings. Pure mastery. Check out that perfect leopard print char on the back though. Beautiful. Just beautiful. We got their vodka pep with hot honey, and also Jonny’s way which comes with hot honey, burrata baked in, and sprinkles of parm. Listen, Jonny’s way is THE way. I’m not usually a pepperoni person, but legit, their vodka pep is now my favorite pizza. Also, their home made sauce is straight up blessed. You get that heavenly blend of sweet and savory if you get the hot honey on it. Everything about their pizza is the peak of satisfaction and quality. Any better and you’ve probably died and gone to heaven. The folks here are also super down to earth and quick with serving up these slappin slices, which by the way, come at an insane value for the unmatched quality. This gem is 1000% a new staple whenever we come visit NY again.

UPDATE: Back again 11/28/25. Absolutely PERFECT cheese slice. The bake was spot on. The 3 pizza pics are the latest. Jonny’s is a must hit slice in Manhattan.
I enjoyed this slice. Flavor profile of sauce and cheese was solid. Dough had excellent flavor, but could have been a little crispier on the bottom and crust on my slice.

Not a memorable slice shop. The cheese slice is very reminiscent of suburban pizza shops in areas that are not known for pizza. The crust is slightly too thick and the slice is lacking standout flavors. At $4.50 a slice, that’s a bit ridiculous. The vodka slice is a slight improvement, but kind of just taste like lasagna pizza. The sauce was almost overly creamy and I’ve had many vodka slices. There are simply too many pizza shops in Manhattan to revisit this spot. They did have this amazing orange soda though and Diet Coke in tall boy cans. I’ll be back for both of those.

This is great pizza. I had a slice of cheese and it was incredible. This sets the bar high for other NY style pizza. This is definitely worth stopping by. The service is also great! The workers are incredibly friendly.

This is in my top 3 manhattan pizza shops along with L’industrie and Ceres. White mushroom and vodka slice are great. “Jonny’s way” cheese is fantastic. Crust is soft and the pizza holds together really well.

I was a bit disappointed with the pizza here. I heard great things and during every trip I take to New York ( a few times a year) I try a new pizza spot. I went here around 5pm and there were people in and out. They have a few small tables inside but really it’s an eat quick and go kind of place. I opted for the pepperoni with burrata.
The dough of the crust was stale and had an off taste. The burrata was really bad. It was a bit warm and melted and had a sour cream type of texture. The burrata added no value to the pizza either. Overall, a let down. For New York, it was a below average slice of pizza. Perhaps I caught them on an off day but the pizza wasn’t very good. Even added red pepper flakes and oregano couldn’t salvage the slice.

Tried Johnny’s Pizza and really enjoyed it. The white mushroom slice was one of the best I’ve ever had. The vodka slice was solid, and the meat lovers was good too.
A couple of things to note: they only serve barbari bread on Fridays and Saturdays, and even though the menu says Persian ice cream is available every day, they didn’t have it when we went on a Wednesday.
Overall, the pizza is worth coming for. Just know there’s no bathroom for customers and no seating, so it’s more of a quick stop than a sit-down spot.

Flew in for a quick press event. The hotel 2 blocks away recommended I try. I had the lunch special. 2 slices and a coke $9.50. Unbelievable! Vodka pepperoni slice and white mushroom. Light crust. Little crunch. Great toppings. Stand up and eat a slice!

We went here for the Barbari bread and the saffron ice cream, both were beyond my expectations from a pizza place in Manhattan! Exceptional ice cream (one of the best I ever had and I had MANY in Iran) and great Barbari. I just hope they keep selling them and I can go whenever I crave them.
We also tried the pizza, which again became one of the best slices I ever had in NYC, very pronounced and lovely char action going on and an amazing EXTRA thin and crisp slice. I don’t know how one place can do all of this but just please stay here forever!

The BEST pizza. Period
I’ve had a few and this just doesn’t come close to anything else!
Vodka flavours is truly to die for. The crust is so perfectly thin and soft… hard to explain!
Worth the line if there’s one.
