My family stopped in for brunch and they were very accommodating to our larger party. We ordered a variety of entrees that we all thought were absolutely delicious. Our favorites were the stuffed pancakes and the Chesapeake omelet. Everything was delicious and a great value. The restaurant itself was also beautifully decorated which is always a nice plus.

I met a friend here before a Capitals game. I didn’t know it was also connected to the hotel. It was seat yourself so we were at the bar.
I had the Cesar salad with shrimp and the crispy fried brussel sprouts. The croutons (homemade sourdough) were the star of the salad that was otherwise ok. The brussel sprouts were so dang tasty and one of my contenders for the best thing I have ate this year.
The service was ok, the bar was busy and it took a bit to pay but my company and I didn’t mind.
The drink menu had a lot of gin beverages and I’m not a fan so I skipped alcohol and opted for water and a cup of coffee.

The Spotted Zebra is located in the Marriott at Metro Center so I ate here a couple of times as a hotel guest. I ordered room service one night and got the Winning Ticket Brisket Sandwich and Fries. It was delicious but I wished it would have been delivered warmer. I can only imagine how good it would have tasted if they delivered it as soon as it was ready. I also had the Cheesecake and the sauce had spilled all in the bag when I received it. Flavor-wise, it was a bit bland and not a very good cheesecake. I didn’t even finish it. A couple of days later, I dined in the restaurant for breakfast. There wasn’t table service and we ordered at a window (which seemed odd). The All American (Eggs, Bacon, Potatoes) was cooked well but seasoning was lacking on the eggs and potatoes. The bacon was delicious. It was odd that toast wasn’t included and I had to purchase that separately. The sourdough toast was a good size but I didn’t really taste that sour taste that I usually get when dining at other places. The Spotted Zebra was convenient since I stayed at the hotel but I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here.

Issues had with dinner meal:
– Delivered steak w/o steak knife. Took 10 mins to get waiter’s attention to ask for one.
– Waiter never checked in on meal or for another round of drinks
– Tried to get waiters attention to pay bill, made check mark symbol in air, they nodded and then for the next 15 mins never came. Went to another server at POS station and asked for bill. He gave me bill but said I had to track down my waiter to get them to ring me up.
Overall, I don’t recommend this place since service failed on multiple levels. Wouldn’t recommend hosting business meal here.

our server andre was extremely good. we dont go out to places like this too often but tonight im glad we did. food was great and the brownie sundae was delicious. thank you Andre for being a extremely great waiter and telling us what food to pick.

The atmosphere is about the only redeeming thing here. Service was incredibly slow given that there were only about 10 people in the restaurant. Food came out slowly, and the gnocchi was VERY overcooked.

Newly opened restaurant in Marriott Metro Center. They have an extensive food menu and a full bar. Nice staff and the renovation to The Spotted Zebra from the old Fire & Sage restaurant is a huge improvement.
