Yum yum yum!! The lentil soup was so good and flavorful.
Get the frybread. It is so good. I’m from Nola and it tasted like a beignet. All it needed was some powdered sugar to sweeten things up!!

I forgot to take a photo of the vegan Chana baked, but I also grabbed the dark chocolate truffles and it was so good. Mike (the owner) told me to make sure I ate it in one go. I was a bit hesitant, but did as I was recommended to do and it was so good. The texture of the dough around the dark chocolate that resembles ganache that just warms up the dough and “melts” into your mouth. There were a lot of people ordering from this spot. Mike also gave me samples since I’ve never had it before and it sold me. There was a lot of seatings in the building and outside as well.

When we were greeted with a delicious vegan dahl sample and a mini samosa, we were hooked. Seriously so delicious! My husband got the Chana, and the flavors are incredible! I got the vegan chow mein, and the flavors are equally wonderful. Great prices too! We will be back, and soon!

My sister and brother in law took me to Bake on the Run for lunch today. I had never been there before and the owner gave me some samples and explained each dish. Everything was delicious! I chose the mix and match bake- one chickpea and one cod. It was so good and the chef was very nice. Run, don’t walk to this location and you will not be disappointed

I eat out a lot, and while the food can meet or exceed my expectations, great service is almost impossible to find these days—until now. This family running this cart is absolutely awesome! My sister and I were just wandering through the food carts, checking out menus (we’d already eaten dinner and were really just there for cookies next door), when the guy running this stand offered us a few samples.

I’m not even sure what I tried first, but it was amazing. The flavors were so unique and delicious that we ended up ordering not one, but two full dinners and desserts! The “dessert bombs” are an absolute must-try. The chef’s batter is unlike anything I’ve had before—light, crisp, and full of flavor.

Beyond the food, the service from the chef’s son was fun, animated, and genuinely generous. The incredible food became an experience when combined with the unexpected service as well. This chef and her family is giving Portland an incredible culinary gift—something truly original that I’m not sure you would find anywhere else in the state.

Bake On The Run, a Guyanese food cart, caught my attention last Halloween when the proprietor, Michael, called me over to try a sample. I let him know that I already had my heart set on something else that day and he replied, “That’s okay, but you have to try this.” Michael gave me a sample of their vegan dal with a spicy sauce add-in as well as a generously sized piece of fry bread. It was really good and I ended up eating at the other food cart which was lackluster in comparison. I did not choose wisely that day and I’ve been thinking about BOTR for the last two months, finally making it back today with my son in town. We got the dal, the chicken potato curry, and a special of blackened chicken drumsticks that went through an elaborate process of preparation that Michael detailed but I couldn’t even begin to repeat. Suffice it to say, it was all really, really good. Portions here are generous and the prices are reasonable. Come for the food but stay and enjoy the conversation with Michael while his Mom, Chef Bibi, works her magic.

Such amazing food! I recommend any of the vegan dishes, and for dessert the vegan bake bombs! Staff is so friendly and welcoming as well. Overall I cannot recommend eating here enough!

Fantastic food!! I got the chicken potato curry and it was amazing, the gentleman running the counter was so friendly and introduced his mom who is the cook behind the amazing food. 10/10 recommend going and eating, I’ve been back twice now and both times it’s been wonderful.

The inside area has nice beers as well to make for a full delicious meal.
