My wife an I ordered a salad and a small pizza. When asked if the salad dressing was homemade the cashier didn’t seem to understand what homemade meant. He showed us a foil package of dressing. I asked if they had vinegar and oil, he said no. The salad came and I said we would need forks. A little while later he handed me a 1flatware fork, no knife, and he said I need the fork back. I asked for a second fork. The pizza came a little later and a different server laid the paper towels on the table and placed the pizza on top, no plates! The pizza was bland tasting of low-end cheese. The salad looked like produce from 3 days ago with whole lettuce leaves, remember no knives. VERY BAD PIZZA and poor service. Packaged salad dressing!

An iconic Dormont institution for over 60 years- My Dad grew up eating this unique pizza, I’ve eaten it my whole life and I got my Northside neighbours hooked on this stuff. You will be sorry if you never try this deliciously differently pizza.
The crust is light, thin and crispy- almost a flatbread around the edge- definitely not for those that like a doughy, thick crust. Nothing beats the pepperoni sausage pizza. You’ll not find sausage like this on any other pizza. It’s not the grey, processed lumps you usually find on pizza. It’s a delicious, spicy loose ground italian sausage. Their pepperoni is not the usual, either.
Better quality ingredients than anywhere Ive ever been, and their sandwiches don’t disappoint, either. This is the best Italian hoagie in the city, hands down. The bread is crusty fresh Mancinis, another Pittsburgh institution, and all the meats and cheese is fresh and high quality. I’ve never had such quality gabbagoul (spicy capicola ham) on a pizza joint sub. The cheese is abundant, stretchy and chewy. Best thing is they don’t soak it with that awful cheap vinegary processed bottled Italian dressing most places use. They use olive oil and italian seasoning. It’s positively sublime.
The folks that work there are friendly, welcoming bunch. People always steal the toilet paper and that’s totally not cool.
They’ve been out of Cherikee Red for over a year. For some reason, Camp’s food is best washed down with an ice cold Cherikee Red.
Most people take out. Seating is usually ample. They’ve had the same ugly gondola painting on the wall for at least over 45 years. They always have ESPN on the television. There aren’t any plates- you eat off wax paper. It’s cool though. I’m glad they spend money on good ingredients and not paper plates or a dishwasher. The way they package takeout pizza is interesting. They put it in a brown paper bag. Don’t worry- it works!

1 Star Review is about the pizza. The Staff was nice and the store was spotless. However, there is literally no reason, even at 2am to purchase aa pizza here. Campiti’s sauce is nonexistent, cheese is cheap, and the dough is equal in hardness and flavor of the cardboard it sits on. The good thing and the reason I gave it 1Star is for the brown bag it comes in, so I can easily throw it into the trash. Instead gifting $16 to Campiti’s, your better off buying 2 DiGiorno frozen rubber pizzas. I will not eat at Campiti’s again, and neither should you.

Although not a large joint and with a very limited menu, Campiti’s Pizza offers up some really delicious food. Fast service and friendly staff makes the visit all the better. The place seems clean which is always a big plus. I highly recommend a visit when you’re in the area.

Delicious pizza and hoagies. You won’t go wrong with either choice, so I recommend just getting both. Leftovers make a great midnight snack.

This place has a lot of character. The inside of the pizza shop is very clean and has a nice setup for a small shop. Even using the paper bags is very old school- adds to the charm of this place. It’s obviously been around for quite some time and has a loyal following but as someone who has only recently has been able to try it, it was personally not my favorite pizza. I read a lot of reviews before going in and giving Campiti’s a taste for myself and I have to say there was a lot of reviews that I agreed with. The price is extremely fair for the product, but I do feel like there’s room for improvement. It is a thin crust pizza and has a nice cracker style crunch to it but it was definitely lacking flavor. In response to some of the reviews, the owners have commented that the sauce and cheese is top of the line products but I would definitely have to disagree with that comment as I find it hard to believe. You CAN taste the difference between higher and lower quality cheese and it shows. As for the sauce, I think the taste may be there but it’s hard to tell with the amount that was on my pizza. This could just be from the person that made my pizza as well. I also believe the best way to judge a pizza shop’s product is to try just a plain slice of pizza, so I went with a half sausage (recommended as their most popular topping) and half plain. The sausage was fantastic and was full of flavor but the plain half just didn’t hold up as well. This review isn’t to talk bad of the business in any way, it’s just to give an honest opinion of my experience. I’ll be trying the pizza again in the future and I’ll update here if my experience is any different. Also- this is just my opinion! I suggest going in yourself and supporting a local business and having your own say in the product.
