It’s mostly à la carte meaning everything is an additional price. $9 milkshakes and $14 plain pancakes. $2 extra for lettuce and tomatoes, 2$ extra for sweet potato fries. $94 for everything pictured
No Appetizers were ordered. 30 min wait for the food. It was real busy so I get it. Substituted ham for bacon on a burger and it still came with ham. No offer of fixing. Just a “do you still want it”. Lol and my actual order never came and the rest of my table finished everything. My side of Oreo pancakes were okay. Not too much flavor. The forgotten sandwich I ordered would have been better. I asked to just remove it from bill and we left. Parking lot was empty as soon as we left. I would say to come here when it’s a slow day. Doesn’t seem like the cook has much help back there and the slow wait affects the waiters service.
Other than that, the service and food were great!
But the breakfast was fantastic!
My omelette was hot and not dried out.
There was a nice variety of vegetarian options, which was a big plus. They also have their own parking area, which made things very convenient.
It’s a great place to enjoy breakfast, lunch or brunch with your family or friends. Highly recommended!
Thank you.
The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it the perfect place to start the day. A special shoutout to the staff – they were warm, attentive, and always up for a friendly chat. We felt completely at home, even though we were far from Germany, and would return anytime.
But from the outside, the place looks closed. They don’t seem to have an open sign. And they have signs on the doors saying when they’re open, but they’re very hard to read from any distance. They are xerox copies of paper taped to the doors, and can’t be read without walking right up to them. I don’t know why they don’t see that they should have regular signs telling their hours.
In the bathroom, which is also beautiful, the water is absolutely freezing cold, too cold for washing one’s hands well. And they have no towels, so you have to use an air dryer, which freezes your hands more. It would be good if they could have regular temperature water, and hopefully some towels.
This is the only restaurant I’ve ever been to where instead of adding your tip with the machine or adding it when you sign the slip, you have to tell the cashier ahead of time how much you want to add. They said it keeps them from having to reopen your account, but all other restaurants do it that way, and it’s easier for the customer.
I might go back, but it would be nice if they would fix some of these things.
6.75/10 Maria’s Unicorn Waffle
I recommend adding strawberries to the waffle tower. I wouldnt buy Maria’s Unicorn Waffle it was way too much in not so good for you so I couldn’t finish it, it felt kinda dry as well.
Ordered 2 dishes – eggs benedict and basic pancakes.
Eggs benedict tasted alright, and they customized upon asking. However, extra charges for customization were not communicated. Pancakes were dry, doughy, somewhat edible in the middle.
Upon letting the server know about dryness, we were asked to talk to manager at check out, who said we should have raised it before finishing 50% of the pancakes (there were 3 slices to begin with)- well we DID communicate to the server!!
Anyways, not a good experience, and unsure why we even bothered bringing it to their notice 🙂
Other than that, Good location, good atmosphere overall.
– Food:
– Long wait time: 30 minutes for 2 pancakes.
– Cheap quality: ordered meat lovers pancake, with no meat as shown in picture. Basically 16 dollars for 3 plain pancakes, which is absolutely wild.
– Declining portion: I ordered muscle pancake wrap, and it has significantly less meat than the past times I came here for.
– Service:
– Decent waitress service: the waitress for our table was a nice lady with good attitude. When I raised the meat issue, they gave me a plate with 2 sausages, which is a good gesture, but still cannot make up for the low quality pancake they gave.
Overall, decent service with cheap and declining quality food.
Note that I actually came here twice before, so I had no grudge against this place whatsoever. This time, however, was such a pitiful experience that prompts me to give this review.
Hope this comment can provide some perspective to people.
