Spaghetti Warehouse is full of nostalgia and I was delighted to see this restaurant after moving back to the area. The restaurant is old and there was a smell walking in that vanished quick. Our server was friendly and quick and attentive. The lasagna my husband ordered was great; sauce, seasoning, and cook was great.
The Chicken Parmesan I ordered was horrible. The chicken was good, but they the need to flatten the chicken to get a better cook. The sauce was great. The spaghetti noodles were disgusting. They were overcooked to the point of being mush. It was the most disgusting thing I’ve ever had in mouth and I couldn’t be polite, I had to spit it out. 3 different tries on the pasta and they were all overcooked and mush. No one should ever precook pasta, but I was told this was a batch that must’ve been overcooked. I was offered a different pasta noodle, but was too disgusted to give it a 4th try. I was even offered a dessert. I am disappointed that I didn’t get to eat or enjoy a meal I paid for.

There’s a little bit of me that is very saddened by the fact this type of sit down long-term dining experience is not as popular as it used to be. There’s something to be said for a quiet prolonged meal with someone you love or the family that you’re so close to my wife and I celebrated our 27th anniversary of our first date which took place at the Spaghetti Warehouse location in Dayton Ohio where we celebrated every year up until now and we only stop by the Toledo location just for some variety. Our server was incredible the atmosphere was also great and most of all the food was fantastic we really enjoyed our experience and we look forward to coming back to Toledo again possibly to celebrate our first date in 2027.

Went to Spaghetti Warehouse for a Christmas party for a non-profit I support. They offered a selection of 5 entrees to choose from and salad. Service good. My spaghetti & meatballs was good. Tennis ball sized meatballs.

A little background. My husband and I went to this same restaurant Over 26 years ago. I thought it had closed with many of the other restaurants in this franchise.
We have recently relocated back in the Toledo area for work and are expecting to be here for the next few months. So on date night we got a little nostalgic…
And other than a very nice waitstaff that is were the positive ends.
I really really want this to be a 5 star review but it pushing it to just make three. One of those three stars is nostalgia talking. Let’s start with the google listing. See picture attached. No tables until 9pm? I called and they asked how many were in our party and when I said two they said to come on in. I was expecting a packed house but Excuse me at 8pm on a Friday only four other tables were seated and no one was waiting… but we waited 7 minutes to be acknowledged and seated. Several employees walked past us.
The food:
The bread was just a white bread loaf. Good but nothing special. Salad all iceberg takes like store bought bagged salad.
The main coarse: Fettuccini was at best awful. The noodle old and dried out and sauce was curdled, greasy, and separated. My husband who is vegan could only order salad or spaghetti. He said it was just OK.
Atmosphere:
Very noticeable upbeat 70s/80s music. Nothing romantic there.
While we still love the old trolley, decorations, booths many seats were torn and every surface looked worn and in need of scrubbing. Vintage is cool worn and in disrepair not so much. Not so much vintage chic as rundown waiting for a second chance.
I am not suggesting redecorate! The appeal is some of the cool decorations but do a deep clean and refresh. New table tops, reupholster seats, and fresh paint and wood polish would help!
* get rid of the ugly games (move them down with the others!) blocking the beautiful brick warehouse wall. Great photo op for your patrons and free social add op ruined.
It saddens us both to say we will probably not be back as it saddens us even more to see a legacy fade.
If we ever hear they have new energy we would love to return! I’m forever an optimist.

This evening, we had a wonderful retirement party for my wife at Spaghetti Warehouse. I can’t think of any way it could have been any better. We hosted around 30 guests for dinner and the party. We had our own room and our own waitress, DeeDee, who anticipated our every need. This was all done at a VERY reasonable price! There was a limited menu we had agreed on in advance, which provided enough variety to satisfy those with particular food needs. Soft drinks, tea, and coffee were also included in the quoted price. The food and service was outstanding. The only glitch was due to a Toledo Mud Hen’s game nearby, just after we arrived but before our guests arrived, a young woman was stationed at a parking lot entrance charging $15 to park in the lot, but Chad, the manager on duty, quickly ironed out the confusion when he assured us that those people who parked for the restaurant would not be charged for parking…the charge only affected those parking to attend the Mud Hens game.

I would absolutely recommend this venue for a similar event.

It was by far the worst experience we ever had going to Spaghetti Warehouse. I made reservations 5 days ahead of time, so it’s not like they didn’t know they were having a large group. They were out of everything I ordered, manicotti, Alfredo, no fettuccini noodles and something else they were out of as well, I don’t remember what it was. We were told they didn’t prep anything the day before. Ummm, you knew you had a party of 25 and nothing to order because it wasn’t prepped the day before. I am a vegetarian I let the server know that before ordering. I ordered the cheese ziti, hence the word cheese, the server did not say that it came with meat sauce when I ordered it, so I couldn’t eat that either. I ordered the cheese ravioli, they were cold and their marinara has a beef base again I am a vegetarian what part do you not understand? They weren’t busy, but it still took well over an hour or 2 to get our food, we were there for 3 hours, I’m sure they could’ve prepared the food we actually wanted in that amount of time. Had I not made a reservation it really wouldn’t have been an issue that they were out of the food but I did make a reservation they should have prepped food for people to eat because we were not the only ones that didn’t get what we wanted. The online orders they were given coupons, no one in the dining room received any compensation.

As a new Toledoan, I had the chance to check out one of the city’s oldest restaurants. It’s like walking into a different time period – a restaurant like no other in town. There’s a train car that goes through the center of the restaurant, old school Tiffany’s style lamps and almost like a saloon meets checkered tablecloth vibe.

The team has been working there for years – some even 20+! Service is small-town friendly, there are plenty of rooms for big parties and 4 tops alike and the prices are great. There’s currently a BOGO deal for entire pasta entrees.

The kitchen is a mostly scratch kitchen with the exception of then breads and pastas which are made in large pasta pots in the kitchen. The garlic butter is amazing and the lasagna and chicken parm were my two fav dishes. The Lambrusco is a yummy wine choice, and they offer Chianti and Pinot noir along with some others.

This isn’t the fanciest meal you’ll have in town, but the sauce is good, the chicken is cooked perfectly on the Alfredo and the parm, and the prices are right.

Come here for fun events like murder mystery parties and comedy shows on weekends! Also a perfect venue for group parties or showers.
