We had an outstanding breakfast experience at Flying Biscuit in downtown Spartanburg! The grits were incredibly creamy and full of flavor—exactly how grits should be done. The pancakes were perfectly fluffy, light, and absolutely delicious. You can tell they take pride in the quality of their food.
What really made the visit even better was the staff. Everyone was extremely friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. The service was quick without feeling rushed, and the whole atmosphere was warm and inviting.
If you’re looking for a great breakfast spot in Spartanburg with excellent food and top-notch service, Flying Biscuit is definitely worth the visit. We’ll absolutely be back!

We had the Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict, biscuits and gravy, their amazing grits, “moon-dusted” potatoes, and a side of crispy bacon. Everything was cooked perfectly! Their gravy is just as good as homemade—dare I say, even better.
The hollandaise sauce was light and flavorful without being overbearing, and the smoked salmon was spot on; the proportions were exactly right, creating a well-balanced and delicious bite. The moon-dusted potatoes were seasoned to perfection, and the biscuits themselves were simply wonderful.
This is officially our new favorite brunch spot. As a bonus, they offer a full bar and a variety of mimosas. My only complaint is that I wish they were open later!

C’mon! This place is awesome! My wife and I showed up on a Sunday at about noon. Place was about as busy as I think it could be with a line of folks waiting. That’s usually when I keep walking, but the sweet hostess said it’d be about 15 minutes. So we waited. And glad we did! It was about 15 minutes and we were seated. Our server was Mercedes and she is a rock star! Not only taking tables but taking care of the bar.
My wife loved her Espresso Martini while my Stage 5 Clinger Bloody Mary was so good.
We both had the chicken and waffles. Hers: Honey Butter / His: Dirty Bird Nashville Hot
Both really quite wonderful!
And the cheesy grits, whoa momma! I can’t wait to bring others here.
Thanks guys! I hope your in business for years to come!

We arrived on a Monday morning, were seated and given menus. We ordered 2 kids waffles, an Avocado toast and a Sausage egg cheese biscuit. Also got a side of sausage gravy.

The weird thing is that they don’t have real sausage, only chicken sausage. But whatever.

Food came out quickly. The waffles were slightly undercooked. Nothing spectacular. Kinda plain.

The biscuit sandwich was awful. Super dry biscuit that just had absolutely no flavor and fell apart as soon as you touched it. The sausage was dry as a bone, and the unmelted Kraft single slice thrown in was just lazy and unappetizing. The side of potato had no flavor, was super dry and likely sat pre-cooked in the hot light for a while.

The sausage gravy was okay.

The avocado toast was a joke (see picture). It looked like they had wiped on the avocado and then scraped it off. The layer was SO THIN, that you could see the texture of the bread. It’s as if they spread it on and used a scraper to scrape it off. Terrible.

Overall the food was bland and cheaply made but at a premium price. What was mentioned above plus a juice and two REALLY BAD (tasted like instant espresso) lattes $60

First visit and last visit.
Hardee’s biscuit sandwich is better for 1/3 the cost.

It’s loud. Over 15 minutes for seating. The coffee was cold. Hollandaise was supposed to come with the omelette and it didn’t. Took about 30 minutes to even get our order in. They did replace the cold coffee but it wasn’t a whole lot better. The waitress was swamped so she took too long to get back to us.

I was told of this restaurant by a coworker a few months ago and suggested it to my sisters. After a month of waiting we finally went. I wasn’t impressed. We waited 15 minutes to be seated, which was not a problem, then we waited another 40 minutes for our food and when we finally got it, well, it was cold. Not to mention the lack of space between tables and walkways.

This was an excellent first-time visit for my family. The service was amazing and the food was great. But most of all, I’d like to give a special shout-out to the owner, Chris Atch, and manager, Nic Bolden. These two are truly amazing.

My mom accidentally left her phone in the restroom during our visit and didn’t realize it until after the restaurant had already closed. My sister and I did some digging on social media and were able to find Chris and Nic and reach out to them. Thankfully, they responded right away and were kind enough to meet us back at the restaurant so we could recover the phone.

Chris and Nic, we are forever grateful for your kindness and willingness to help. Thank you again!
