UPDATE: There is new management but the food is good and hours are longer. And YES !!! I love their soup of the day and their menudo on the weekend. Yum !
This place is barely a mile from home and I am so happy because I’m a big fan of their tasty tacos. So very reasonably priced too. When the food truck disappeared, I was bummed, until I saw them in the building. Yay, back to my breakfast and lunch tacos !!!! the place is really clean and bright to boot and I would be happy to drag more of my family and friends here for a nice weekend brunch. Just so comfy, homey. clean and located in a not-so-busy part of 249. It’s next door to the post office and easy access to 249, about 15 mins to downtown Tomball and to downtown Magnolia (give or take 5mi). The icing on the cake for me is the service. The lady recognized me even after a few months of not having my usual and even remembered my usual order. How cool is that !

This is REAL MEXICAN food! The chicharrón tacos had meat and not just skin like most taquerias do. My torta had all the toppings that are supposed to be in one and the hamburger? Amazing

I have been there a few times but I won’t go back. Even if the food it’s really tasty, but the Menudo, lack of color and flavor. The kitchen staff is friendlier than the owner daughter(I think) who’s at the cash register. The older man in the back smiles more than her. From day one I felt the lack of service, only the older lady made me feel welcomed once a while ago, Haven’t seen her ever again. I believe 80% of customer return is for the service, because they feel welcomed and not like this woman that nearly speaks, can’t hear her at all, she ratters be on her cell phone and nearly not moving at all. . Ah! But she was presto to guard me when I went to top off my coffee maybe to make sure I wouldn’t take anything else without paying … really? That made me realized I won’t spend my hard earned money in a place that lacks of customer service! Ah! Almost forgot… I went to ask for salsa for my tacos and I was directed to look for them in the refrigerators where they boldly said “it says salsa there” where the little sight gets lost with the variety of colors for their products. Almost felt like I had to go and make my own food and else.
For the kitchen stuff to pretty much see what the front person does and doesn’t and noticed they do not like it either says a lot.

The menudo was lacking flavor and did not have much in it. They do have a good spicy salsa, but you only get one sauce if you’re getting it to go, and they don’t ask you what kind. You’d have to pay if you want another one even though if you dine in, you can use their salsa bottles. The one salsa cup is not enough for a burrito or the like. The burrito was also lacking a bit of flavor, but was better than the menudo by far.
