This place was quite average. Although the waitstaff were very nice.

We came here on a Friday night around 5pm (there were three of us – 2 adults, 1 child). I started with a red wine and we got the bruschetta and arancini for appetizers. The arancini were dry, even the sauce on the outside didn’t help. The bruschetta was very dry but the toppings were quite good.

For my main meal I got the eggplant Parmesan, which was a little mushy as opposed to caramelized. It was average. My partner got mushroom polenta which came with a performance from the staff pouring it out on a board at the table. All a little weird but he enjoyed the meal.

We didn’t get dessert but it looked good.

Service was very kind and quick. Food was very fresh and tasted closer to authentic Italian cuisine. My favorite was the Dragona pizza and arancini! I would recommend this cute spot for a date night

I had the best time at Enoteca Roma! The food was delicious and the service was 10/10. The little touches Enoteca Roma included in my dinner once they found out it was my birthday was so charming and appreciated by my entire group. The owner Letizia even came over and wanted to be sure we were having a good time (we absolutely were). Such a cozy and sweet spot on Division. Can’t wait to return. Ask for Hector!

We booked this 10 min before the reservation, and our host was graciously able to accommodate us in a regular menu instead of the tasting courses we had reserved. Pasta was exactly what you want from a home-y Italian spot — flavorful, generous on portions, and fresh ingredients. Absolutely would come again!

Cozy Italian with an older chicago interior. This is the other half of Letizia’s and its also very good.

Enjoyed that the menu had half portion options on a lot of their entrees. Good selection of dishes without having too many or too few options.

Service was good and food was delivered quickly. Only downside is during the winter there’s maybe seating for 28 tops, with a patio during the summer about doubling it

Enoteca Roma is the best Italian restaurant in Chicago and (in my opinion) is the best RESTAURANT in Chicago. You cannot get high quality, large portioned, delicious, comforting food with an unbeatable, intimate atmosphere anywhere else in the city. Everything is hand made in house and there is not a bad item on the menu. Servers are passionate, attentive and ALWAYS kind. Enoteca Roma is a phenomenal, family run business that cares about quality, customers, and their employees. businesses like these are what make Chicago the beautiful, diverse, and vibrant city it is.

P.S. their patio in the spring/summer is BEAUTIFUL

Hidden gem alert! I can’t believe I just discovered Enoteca Roma—this place is a cozy Italian dream.

First off, they do tableside polenta, and I don’t think I’ve seen that anywhere else in Chicago! Such a fun experience, and it was so creamy and delicious.

For apps, we got the vegetarian arancini, bruschetta flight, and Pirada—all so good, but that bruschetta flight? A must. Everything was fresh and full of flavor.

Now for the pasta… OH MY GOD. The Spaghetti Nonna Giovanna was easily one of the best pastas I’ve ever had. Simple, but the flavors were unreal. And the eggplant parm? Wow. Perfectly crispy, cheesy, and saucy—exactly how it should be. If you love eggplant parm, don’t skip this.

We wrapped up with tiramisu and caramel cheesecake. I’m usually not a big tiramisu person, but this one was different—so light and creamy. The cheesecake was also a hit!

Everything about this place is a vibe—cozy, charming, and insanely good food. I’d come back in a heartbeat!

I’ve been coming to Enoteca for years and can say without a doubt it’s the best place in the neighborhood. I used to live around here and then moved to the north side, but since I moved I’ve come back several times just for Enoteca. The food is amazing, and the atmosphere is beautiful, especially when the outdoor “secret garden” area is open when it’s warm enough outside, and decorated with fairy lights. The food is all delicious and creative, and always hits the spot. Among my favorites are the pear ricotta ravioli, the carrot gnocci, the many creative varieties of pizza, and the handmade pastas which are always amazing. I have always had an excellent experience here and would recommend it to anyone.
